  1. We won’t see him for sometime, but excited to follow along and see what he becomes. Hopefully the next big thing!

  2. This is great news at face value. Does anyone have any video or anything I can watch to get an idea of the kid?

  3. I know if we sign a QO FA we lose 1m in International budget, did any of our original handshake agreements fall through as a result of this? we might not have any money for anyone else now.

  4. What ended up happening with the Yankees? I know they were having issues trying to get a scouting guy. Did they get one and did he end up finding an ifa to sign?

  5. At 16 y/o my guy is barreling pitches for 110+ mph exit velos. The power projection is gnarly. He’s athletic though, not bulky – legit 5 tool potential.

  6. Juan Soto effect. This move will continue to pay dividends down the line. Regardless of how you feel about Soto, he’s inspiring many teens/future prospects from DR.

Him being a Met brings validity to the organization and it feels good knowing one of your own has a contract worth a billion dollars damn near. That makes you wanna work and get right with the organization. If you’re great enough, people will pay for your attention.

  7. Nobody wants to play in concrete Yankee Stadium…unless they’re there to beat their asses.

  8. Great job by the Mets IFA team to pivot after they lost their top signing to an age falsification and capitalize on the Yankees mess. Very excited to see how Wandy does in our system.

Also, it’s annoying that the Braves stole Alfredo Sena from the Mets for the 2027 IFA class. He is looking like the top player in next years group.

  9. This kids swing is unbelievable. Looks like a major league swing at 16, really excited to see how he fairs on his way up through the ranks.
