changed his mind

  1. call me closed minded but i really don’t want a DC as a head coach.

we saw what happened with the eagles, no matter how talented u r on that end of the ball, a shitty OC can RUIN it. an offensive minded head coach often picks good OC’s and can train them if need be. a defensive minded head coach needs a good OC, and when u finally have one they often get hired in the offseason. idk thats just my take.

  2. I’m confused… what happened to no tampering during playoffs? We got hit with that during Gannon search

  3. I’m a Jets fan but I live here now after living in New York my whole life and I follow the cardinals as a second team. Let me tell you right now, you want nothing to do with him as a head coach. He’s a fantastic defensive coordinator and the cardinals will for sure have an improved top 10 unit if he becomes the coach. But for a team with no QB, he’s useless. He neglected that side of the ball his entire tenure and promoted locker room division over the whole Mike White situation. He can be a good coach for a team that’s established with a good QB but he’s the type of head coach that’s only going to be good with elite coordinators which I doubt he’s attracting to Arizona. He also changed up his personality as soon as he got to New York and stopped being that rah rah guy that they fell in love with. Maybe he learned and changed but he’s too uninspiring for the cardinals right now. Hard pass.

  4. It’s gonna be Vance Joseph. Listening to the afternoon show right now and it’s clear Gambo got his marching orders trying to soften the fanbase up for the inevitable hire.

God do I hope I’m wrong.

  5. “Late tonight” usually means the candidate really cares about the job and taking it seriously right

  6. I think the only way the bag him is to frame it as a chance to prove himself as a head coach against some of the toughest competition in the league with our division.

“This is one of the toughest divisions, if you can succeed here no one can deny it” sort of thing.

That and pay him of course.

  7. Not sure why everyone is so hyped up on him. Because he looks cool and is animated on the sidelines? How did that work out in NY?

I don’t think we should get all jazzed up for a coach that failed elsewhere. I’m not saying it won’t workout, but just don’t get the excitement.

    Meh.
