The candidates have to see the same thing. Leads me to believe a young “up and comer” will be the guy we end up with.
Browns seem pretty buttoned up with this coaching search…

We have no franchise QB, no good WRs, and the Watson contract chewing up cap space. No one with options would choose that
If I walked into an interview and the guy across from me was singing Jimmy Haslam’s praises or was Jimmy Haslam, I’d know that my future boss was a complete idiot.
What if, out of nowhere, and I’m just spitballing here, what if…Myles Garrett is named new—PLAYER COACH!
*drops mic and blows up the league with 6D chess move
They should keep things tight lipped. Why give away your plans when two division rivals are also looking for coaches.
This is going to sound nuts but hear me out. Of the available teams, we have arguably the best unit available with our defense, as well as a DC who for some reason wants to stick around. The offense is a challenge, but we have two first round picks and a really good young previous draft class to build off of. We also have way more cap than people realize due to Watsons insurance and guaranteed extensions/cuts. It’s a real easy sell to offensive minded HCs who want to come in and either prove themselves or remake an offense entirely in their image. It’s not as bad a job on paper as we like to make fun of. You also have an owner who is willing to spend cash more than anyone else in the league. It’s really not that bad
