Get Kershaw wired up so he can trashtalk Shohei while pitching to him.
And you know what? He’s gonna sit his ass down again for the final out of the WBC and bring the championship back to America!
I wouldn’t hold my breath.
“I think something will have gone terribly wrong if I have to pitch against Team Japan in the finals or something,” Kershaw said of the three-time WBC champions. “I think we’ve got plenty of guys to get that guy out. Not me. But if that happens, I’ll be nervous.”

Totally random, but I’m still bummed out how Shohei messed up TA’s no-no several seasons back.
True, but he has only faced regular season Kershaw. WBC is closer to postseason intensity/pressure than it is to regular season.
