February is gonna be a tough month. How many wins can we get here?

  1. 3 games we should/could win(sac, cavs, la), but idk about the rest. Could split with Houston.

  2. Ok a Knicks fan and we’re going through a rough spot right now so I’m trying not to think about my own team. You’ll go 6-5 through this stretch.

  3. I can see 8 wins but you are leaving out the ASB which is going to be HUGE for this older team.

they’ll get a ton of rest and be able to reset right in the middle of February

also, Frank is going to make a trade that gives the team more shooting and ball handling. That’ll come in about 2 weeks.

February looks like a good month to me.

  4. That’s every February. You’d think it stop after we got our own arena. But let’s giveaway Luka to Fakers

  5. If clippers don’t make a move there won’t be many wins. We saw it in the Knicks game, clippers played really well but Knicks just had too much. Clippers are playing with less than most of the good teams right now and the only reason they have been able to keep their head slightly above water is because Kawhi and Harden.

I have never seen a team so desperate for some help, get another starter to replace Dunn and some help off the bench and this is suddenly a top team in the league.

  6. The deadline is coming and DJJ is (hopefully) returning. That will change the outlook on these games.

The team just needs to focus on getting above .500 before January is over at this point.

  7. I say 5-6 or 6-5, something like that. I try not to overestimate this team. If I do, they usually disappoint.

If let’s say we only lose one game for the rest of this month, we can be 23-24. If it’s two games. then 22-25. If zero games, then 24-23. One loss can decide either being one game over 500 or one game below 500.

We need to try to stay close to even in February to not lose ground being at 500. Then we try to win 75% of the final 24 games. That puts us to around 46 if we go 5-2 the rest of this month, 6 wins in Feb, and then finishing 18-6 in March and April.

    17 + 5 + 6 + 18 = 46

If we can do a little better in our last tree months, 50 wins is very much possible. Not bad of a comeback after winning only 6 times in our first 27 games. That’s a 44-11 (80%) finish after starting 6-21.

  8. 5 wins would be impressive to me, since most of these teams are better than the Clippers except for the Kings.

They could MAYBE grab 5 wins from: Kings, Lakers, Suns, Cavs, and maybe split one with Rockets or beat the 76ers.

  9. I think the Rockets are very beatable, as the have no offensive scheme outside of give the ball to KD and Sengun and struggle against perimeter shooting. I’d take the Clippers to win both those games as a Rockets and Clippers fan

  10. This is where things fall over for us. Tough teams means better defense, so less production from Kawhi and a lot of crappy turnovers from the man with no defense.

This is why I think it’s imperative that we go shopping big and try to get another scorer. Don’t even care if we sell all of our picks. We can get easily get some draft capital back by using the cap space in the next coming years.

This team doesn’t do any prep though. (Taliban crew what up) so I’m expecting we will stand pat and get some washed up vets with names that end up being a total nuisance.
