  1. Jesus fucking Christ fuck all the way off.

60 million/year!? Are the Dodgers going to sign Luxury Tax next?

  2. I was crashing out so hard until I saw this, but like how do you offer this much money there is just nothing the Mets could reasonably do. If we paid Tucker this much the entire world would be clowning Stearns

  3. LOL… and now as a Jays fan I’m not upset. So you’re saying King Tuck is worth $10M per year less than Shohei.

  4. Cheap owners are a problem obviously but there are like 3 teams that can spend like this lmao. Dodgers fans love to act like all other teams can do this shit but they blatantly cannot. You think Miami can afford a 400 million dollar payroll?

  5. Please be like Anthony Rendon please be like Anthony Rendon please be like Anthony Rendon please

  6. I’m all for owners caring about more than their bottom line, but I just can’t understand how this works for the Dodgers. With their tax situation, Tucker is costing them more than $100M/year. On a team that already sells out, where he won’t be the major marketing piece or jersey seller…how is he contributing even half of that marginal revenue?

I’m fairly sure the people running the Dodgers are a tad bit smarter than me, but this seems particularly nuts. And a solid reminder that as much as Dodgers fans tried to remind Jays fans that they were also a high payroll team, the Dodgers are truly in their own league.

  7. In December, Dave Roberts had this to say about LA’s free agency plans: “There’s really no big splash we feel needs to be made because this team is still focused.”

They’ve since signed Edwin Díaz and Kyle Tucker.

    Lmfao.
