  1. All this tank talk is really a poor deflection of reality. No one tanks on purpose. I can guarantee you that hasn't happened for decades. It doesn't work. The Canucks have had very good draft positions in the modern era, and simply have failed to put high ceiling players with teammates, in environments they can thrive in. In the last few years they be had a Norris Trophy winner, a Calder winner, a strong Vezina candidate, a Jack Adams winner, and for one seaon 3 Canucks in the leagues top scoring for a lot of the Calendar year. Now. They are last overall, and definitely look like it. So you tell me. What makes anyone think actually winning the draft lottery, or even picking guaranteed top 3, is a consoling notion.

  2. Two of the greatest Canucks of all time were Swedish. Ill never bash the twins. I mean, those dudes took an absolute assault on them every night their entire career. Theyd both get a point a game a night, and get blamed for losses. The Canucks brass supported them with soft fringe players, and low character players with zero playoff success. Of course it didnt hurt having Luongo, but hed get tossed under the bus after every loss with the twins. He was only the best netminder the Canucks have ever had. Terrible player management with zero attention to the entire character in the dressing room. It was common knowledge, Kesler divided that room. Yet they did nothing. Fast Forward to Quinn Hughes Demko EP40 era. Three elite ceiling players. Add Horvat and Miller. Pretty good core to build and tinker. Just said that was like three years ago or so. Now we have play by play guys calling three Canucks Pettersson. None are very good at all. Thats an understatement. Last overall. I mean cmon man. Read the room. Look at the teams that win, and what they do. They dont not have Canadian content for impact. Thats for sure

  3. I guarantee you that when ownership oked the Hughes deal, the agenda was to somehow still possibly make a playoff push. Thats why they made a deal for three players who could play right away. This isnt a rebuild unless Boeser Myers Demko EP40 Garland Kane are all gone. Its not anything but a true mess. I wouldnt go to a Canuck game for free
