RELOAD: How Smart New Orleans Saints Free Agency Moves Can Turn 2026 NFL Draft Into An All-Timer

Nailing the right free agents could transform the New Orleans Saints’ 2026 NFL Draft from solid to game-changing. How adding a physical pass-catcher like Romeo Doubs, a dynamic running back such as Carolina’s Rico Dowdle, and bringing former LSU Tiger Ed Ingram to bolster the offensive line could turn critical team needs into luxury picks.

Each move frees the Saints to chase potential stars like Jordan Tyson or Jeremiyah Love without the pressure of immediate impact, letting new draftees develop while veterans handle the heavy lifting.

Recalling the magic of the 2017 Saints draft and free agency combo, the show explores whether New Orleans can recreate history by pairing smart signings with a strong draft class.

  1. Damn Ross do you really not believe Kendre miller isn’t gonna be apart of the team this coming season? Cause I didn’t hear his name mentioned as in the room for next year… I know he’s been hurt but unless you know sumn I don’t…?

  2. Dang Ross.. I Literally said Daubs, 11 seconds before you did 😁💪⚜️ Great Minds.. My son, was near me, and asked, what team he played for?🤔 I said Green Bay, then you said Daubs, sp. 😂💪⚜️

  3. I love the Romeo Doubs as an addition, but I can't get with the 28 year old Rico Dowdle. I prefer, Breece Hall that is in line with the youth movement with production and talent.

  4. Bad memories made good if we sign Doubs. He was a key factor when we lost a road game vs Green Bay a couple years ago. We were up 17-0 in the 4th quarter and they came back because we couldn’t stop him.

  5. Yesterday in my pff mock draft I drafted Caleb downs (s), Emmanuel Pregnon (g), Michael
Trigg (Te), Nicholas Singleton (Rb)Jake Slaughter ( c), Nadame Tucker (cb) and a WR ( don’t remember his name). Happy with my selection 😊

  6. Okay, putting on my gm hat here. I am okay with letting olave walk if I can pick up an affordable dobs and then draft a wr. Might get some trade value for him and free up some money in the coming years. Spend big to get Alijah Vera-Tucker and draft another guard as well as the best edge rusher available. I like olave but he isn't a game breaker, too many big time drops and the injuries. And if I can find a good dt free agent after the draft I push to get that guy

  7. Michael Pittman Jr will be a free agent also. His cap hit will be 29M this year. If he is cut or traded before March 15 he will just count 5M in dead money. They will save 24M and will be able to keep Pierce and sign others. I like him as the Big-bodied Michael Thomas type. 6’4 223. 80 catches 784 yds. 7 TD’s this year.

  8. Hear me out. What if the 2013 draft class is the 1972 draft class? And what if the 1983 draft class is the 2034 class? And what if the 2026 class is the mercenary company that operated in the area in 1875? And what if Kellen Moore is Phil Jackson running the triangle offense? Add Tyler Shough's jersey number to that triangle (pyramid), divide by Reggie Bush's jersey number and that's how you get the martians making crop circles and a Saints Super Bowl. Makes you think doesn't it?

  9. Anyone that wants Olave gone fine but don't bitch and moan when Shough has no one to throw too. And don't hit me with "that's why we draft a true number 1" like what. He has given us 2 1K seasons under Carr and 1 with Shough and he doesn't put it harms way to get Olave hurt we've seen it but yeahhhh he's not a true 1 let him walk and let him shine somewhere else and we set ourselves back 👍
