Eh. If (say) the Jets offered (say) three firsts and a second (with one of those firsts being 1.02) then I’d say trade it and build everything else first. But these hypothetical Jets would be fools to offer that. Ain’t gonna happen.

We’ve seen how much of a crapshoot the draft can be, if you can get the guy, get the guy.
I’ve been a Raiders fan since I was 8 years old, when they moved back to Oakland and my dad started rewatching football (quit when they moved to LA).
I have stuck through the worst of times. If they don’t pick Mendoza I legitimately might give up on football all together.
Even that Jets fan who commented in the picture you posted knows there’s no chance they’re getting Mendoza.
The only other option is trading the pick for four first rounders š
Raiders fans are getting themselves too hyped up over Mendoza, and are going to turn on him when he doesnāt reach their own hyped up expectations for him. Heās obviously QB1 this year. However, heās not the kind of QB prospect thatās going to put a franchise on his back.
Hes a good prospect and can be successful with the right team and organization behind him. Itās going to take a year or two. So donāt expect Peyton Manning or Mahomes or something like that.
Yeah, letās trade the pick for a haul of picks in this years draft (so we can rebuild the offensive line in one of the weakest offensive line drafts in 10-15 years) and a haul of picks in next years draft (so we can trade up to the second pick, from 3rd or 4th pick) and draft the second best quarterback behind Arch Manning, who will probably be a lesser prospect than Mendoza. Genius.Ā
