  1. Pettersson is not going no place. Pettersson Karlsson and Ohgren are youg and good enough.Hoglander O'Connor Sasson are OK. Bad news are Boeser and Debrusk. Brusk is back Boeser is counting birds. Both started well than fell off. Garland is the best player for teams to go after. Sherwood the same. Kampf is not second line center sorry must go. Abby has a better center than Kampf. Raty is true help thi year.

  2. The Canucks aren't going to trade this guy. The entire team burned down around him and management still believes in him. I think they will name him the Captain next season and they are going to just let him ride out his contract.

  3. The last hypothetical package I heard was Brandt Clarke, Liam Greentree, Carter George, and a 1st. If that was on the table, I would nod and take what the LA Kings are offering!

  4. One thing going for EP40 from the perspective of other teams is that he's great defensively and he's been playing with bottom 6 and AHL players. If a team has the wingers they think can play at an elite level with him, they might take that chance, but because of the contract, it probably still means taking a bad but shorter term contract back. If you've got a big sniper who can get to the front of the net and you're missing a playmaker, maybe he's your guy. But again, the contract is a big obstacle.

  5. I'd rather put Petterson in the bottom six and build a new top 6 without him. Having young talent in the top six will negate his 11.6mil contract. I don't see a trade if it's not a 1st and 2nd rounder with a prospect coming back. The Canucks would get more value if they put him as a 3rd line defensive center and maybe be a Selke winner in the process. I see him taking on a role like Jamie Benn.

  6. They can trade him if they eat 40% of his salary. Otherwise it’s going to be next to impossible . Aside from Sherwood, no Canuck forward has had a good season. Boeser is the goal scorer on the team and he is in a deep dark hole. Debrusk only scores on the powerplay, and that’s not often. The plus minuses on the team are tragic. With Hughes gone, their powerplay is a shadow of its former self.

How on earth is Pettersson supposed to put up any numbers on this team to raise his market value? Even if he really does play better, it’s wasted on this basement dwelling team. It’s dark days indeed.
