Tucker’s never put up 5 WAR, has been seriously injured 2 years in a row, and supposedly has a bit of Rendon in his blood.
I’m not convinced we didn’t dodge (pun intended) a bullet just now.
Get a life.
I mean it would have been nice to have him but I don’t think signing him would have solved this team’s issues. It’s not like he can pitch
This fan base has become so fucking embarrassingly cringe. I can’t take it. I want to get away from all of you.
Everyone in this fan base became insufferable overnight. There is nowhere left to discuss Mets baseball rationally without someone coming in and just flinging feces all over the room.
All because we let go of a losing core that couldn’t make the playoffs.
Fuck that, I’m glad they didn’t sign him for that money. Would have regretted it within a year. Still pissed about Diaz and Alonso
Ugh poor Lane
Play the kids and wait for lockout
We’ll be aiiiiii. It’s just sports
We’re one of the few teams with an owner who is actually willing to spend enough money in this ridiculous version of baseball, I’m good
You posted this in 2 subs thinking you cooked, woof
Currently binging Mad Men. Not to this point yet. Ouch.
Nobody is coming to this team!
I’m honestly not that worried about it, the Dodgers are built to win for the next five years and then have the most insane cap hell ever. I would take it for the championships and don’t blame them but might as well rebuild properly while they do this shit. Everyone is choosing them and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Poor Lane.
I just want Bellinger
Tucker really doesn’t move the needle for me. It’s true that there’s no one really better than him left in free agency, but I don’t think he’s significantly better than the players that we let go for cheaper.
Is anyone really that upset about losing out on Tucker? He is a solid outfielder but Dodgers overpaid (makes sense since they are fully win now). The contract at $220M for 4 years (Mets last offer), was already a huge overpay and could have been disastrous.
He’s constantly injured and didn’t help the Cubs much last year. I would almost rather Bellinger but the Yankees last offer looks like an overpay for him too.
This free agency market was just not great. Maybe we’ll bring in someone in a trade 🤷♂️
What makes today different from any other day as a Mets fan? Shit happens.
It was probably about the multi-year deal. Mets tried to save money and lost.
