Great bounce back after the last game against the caps. You could tell the sharks remembered the beat down and wanted to prove themselves
There are many new faces but the real big difference between last years' Sharks and this year is that they now have fouind genuine team chemistry. Mike Grier learned from past mistakes and picked up a much better core crew of veterans to mesh with his many rookies and fans love the result. I have really been surprised by the competitiveness of Nedeljkovic as he has certainly proved that he is not merely a backup goalie but can play in the biggest games as a starter. Sharks now have great depth and fight to win every game even if they also come up short or still remain inconsistent in results. Warsofsky and other coaches have forged much more team bonds this year and deserve a lot more credit too. It is like someone turned on a switch and every Shark learned to be better at the game.
Sharks are the hottest team in the Pacific.
Let's go sharks!!!
Ned was fantastic. Probably his best game in teal. Lets go Sharks!!!
I can’t stress how great these recaps are Brodie!
I think I said it on an IG post but this legit was the best full game the Sharks have played since probably 2019. Throughout this year as they have gotten more and more exciting and competitive, even in good wins you would see certain aspects of the game that they survived but weren't always great. Aside from that maybe 5 minutes stretch in the 3rd where they sat back a bit and Washington got their second goal, literally every aspect of the game was better than this team has played it. They were playing great defense, with fantastic clean up and puck recovery not getting hemmed into their own zone, were making quick and smart plays up and down the ice, were creating chances but also not turning the puck over at the blue line, they were controlling the neutral zone well. It was like a flashback to the Pavelski, Patty, Jumbo, Burns, Couture era. If they can learn from this and make tonight's overall play a consistent thing, they are going to get REALLY scary for teams in the league.
Caps took the first two periods off. By the time they decided to play, it was too late. Great effort by the Sharks!
You can’t overstate how much the goaltending has improved. The Sharks lose this game last year with Georgiev in net. Askarov and Nedeljkovic are a substantial improvement.
Magnificent win at Washington last night and a fantastic beginning to the road trip. Hopefully more of the same in Detroit tonight. I can’t imagine what this team is going to look like in the playoffs but I can’t wait 😛
Ned Flanders had an amazing game. Offense looked great. Celebrini assist was a beauty. I dont know if its me but man does our defense give away the puck in the worst spots. Against any other team and we would have been cooked.
6-7
The work Mac put in on the 2nd goal is what impressed me on that play. The no look pass is amazing, but for a high skill guy to go battle like that is what makes him special!
