“There is no deal right now…..and it’s a negotiation. There could be a breakthrough any moment and I think both sides would like to make that happen. But it’s now Wednesday and they have been trying to do this for a while. The longer it lingers the more you wonder. How I would interpret it right now is it’s up in the air. The Packers and Matt LaFleur have been working on an extension. The belief on both sides right now is that they’re gonna figure it out and he’s gonna be back in Green Bay. If for whatever reason they don’t there will be a big market for him.”
Matt LaFleur, as Packers head coach, is 76-40-1 in the regular season and 3-6 in the postseason. Three of those six losses in the playoffs include blown 4th quarter leads.

Sean Payton was traded from the Saints to the Broncos in 2023 for a 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, and 3rd round pick. It’s safe to assume that LaFleur would be traded for more considering LaFleur is 46-years old, and Payton was 60 when traded.
