Corey Pronman of The Athletic had some nice things to say about Ducks prospect Roger "Lightning" McQueen recently and now says he should have been the 4th overall pick behind Schaefer, Misa and Hagens!

Coming for McTavish’s spot

This made my day. I was worried with his slow start in college.

McQueen and Sennecke the next Getzlaf and Perry

Love what I’m hearing about him and Pettersson this year. Not ready to pencil them in as our future all-stars yet, but I’m optimistic!
God if he pans out, a forward group with carlsson, sennecke, gauthier, McQueen and a supporting cast of terry and mctavish is insane. Btw if McQueen does end up as our 2C, mctavish being the 3c is the type of team that wins championship. Just great depth
I trust in Verbeek
I think if he didn’t get hurt last year, he goes 4th instead of 10th
Looks like Cronin was right all along about one thing.
McT is going to be a good 3rd liner and there’s nothing wrong with that.
William Karlsson on the Golden Knights is a first liner on any other team, but him being on the third line is so insane and clutch for them. Hoping we can see that from McT if he can develop his two way game.

I saw Roger McQueen at a grocery store in Providence yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Anyone else starting to love hearing “hotly debated” when we draft now? Seems like it works out well for us haha
”developed a legit mean streak” he’s so angelic baby faced though. I have to see this for myself. Anyone have highlights they want to link?
Sennecke has shown he can play with anyone, so it’s going to be amazing seeing him and McQueen on a line. The Giraffe Line ™
Wild to me that he has him over Frondell. I hope he’s right!
In the games I’ve watched lately, McQueen has started playing better. He is no scoring machine, but his team doesn’t seem that deep.
Regardless, I love that he goes to the front of the net, he can skate, he is feisty, and that .566 face-off percentage… very nice.
