I made a comment in another thread regarding how much of our offensive decision making is driven by analytics, seems like there’s more hands in the pot than people think.

  1. This is how I assumed it would be. They were never going to ice our Sirianni totally

  2. Tell me about Julian

Nepo baby idiot or well raised successor that will continue Lurie’s greatness?

  3. Evey year they tell us this how its done. And if it doesnt work out, the media will “forget” and blame Sirianni.

  4. Oh no. Our GM, Coach, and Owner are going to collaborate to decide the best direction for the team. The horror.

  5. 2 years wasted because of “friendly” OCs being brought up. Glad Siriani doesn’t have much say this time.

  6. I take anything McLane says with a grain of salt. Dude hates the Eagles brass.

  7. Mclane is such a boob. Like most Philly media they look for the negative spin on things for clicks. Outside of maybe 2-3 reporters covering the team they’re all trash

  8. None of their offensive philosophy under Nick is supported by analytics.

“Don’t turn the ball over and you win” is not analytics, that’s just Nick not understanding the difference between correlation and causation.

The front office on the other hand has a good handle on analytics which is why it must drive them absolutely insane that Nick manages games this way.

  9. He will obviously be a part of it I just don’t think it will be his decision to make.

  10. His biggest flaw is when its time to be involved he’s nowhere to be found and somehow when he’s not needed, he finds a way to appear.

  11. If I had a nickel for every team with a billionaire’s son who run the analytics departments, I’d have at least 2 nickels, etc.

  12. I used to laugh at my wife for watching trash reality shows on Netflix with manufactured drama. After watching this Eagles coaching/OC/QB drama play out for the last few weeks I realize we’re no better.

  13. This is how it will always be. Doesnt mean Sirianni has his knees cut out. He has to manage the OC also.

  14. Are they just keeping Nick so that we didnt “fire a super bowl winning coach”?

If so, what’s the point. Just get rid of him

  15. You mean to tell me Nick alone doesn’t hire the OCs with no input from Howie and vice versa and they actually work TOGETHER to select them!!!!!!!

Somebody should inform football fans everywhere because this is apparently a stunning revelation!

  16. What does Nick do? He doesn’t go after Howie’s job and try to box him out. He doesn’t pull a Chip Kelly stunt.
