The Braves really had a chance to rival the dodgers after ‘21 it’s just insane to think where both teams are now
Did he like the original post and not the repost with that text overlay?
Does it suck, absolutely. But it is what it is, trade him for young prospects and let the Dodgers have their run and get your shit together in the mean time.
No this makes me sad af
Ronald should focus on staying healthy.
Love the guy. But anyone would do the same. Can’t blame him.
About to drink some acid if anyone wants to join.
I’ll probably get downvoted to hell. But should we really extend him right now to a massive long term deal (I’m assuming that’s what he wants and playing 4D chess by liking that shit)?
I’d like to see him stay healthy just one full season after that second injury

If this was real he unliked it
The ruthless answer is the Braves should trade him in a couple years for prospects assuming he has a couple healthy elite seasons
Oh Ronald. I have fat fingers too, accidentally clicking like happens.
Right?
RIGHT?!
It’s so hard to be an Atl sports fans 90% of the time.

Could also just be his way of making fun of the specific person who said to trade him. But either way he is going to command an enormous contract that we are unlikely to match. That’s just the reality. And honestly with his injury history it might be the right move, but it will still suck to see.
They’ll re-sign him.
Oh no I’m not a fan of that
Or re-sign him now to a team friendly agreement.
I’m don’t think this really matters in the grand scheme of things.
But, we do have to be prepared for 2028-2031. The Braves will have a ton of long term players that will be leaving. We aren’t going to resign all of them.
This will probably be downvoted into oblivion but let’s be honest- yall really expect Liberty Media to shell out the $400 mil that he will command?
Unpopular opinion. The Braves did well competing during his prime and injuries. There is a timeline where we do not want to sign him in his 30’s to a bad contract. I’m thinking about the franchise not loyalty or anything else.
Sadly,
Bad legs can’t get an early long extension bc one day he is gonna DH and not be running.
We are going to be absolutely devastated seeing him on an another team and hate the theatrics he is going to do after his HRs against us.
We aren’t the Dodgers or Yankees, can’t just throw money at everyone.
AA already set up his core team for a run and that window is disappearing. Crazy thing is we got the WS on the year we really didn’t expect to. Who knew Rosario was going to turn into a super human and Solar was going to be so clutch.
It’s probably a bit if Lamar Jackson scenario. Meaning that it seems very difficult to understand which choice is the right one no matter how many people amplify one side or the other.
I got flamed for saying the other day that I was seriously worried we wouldn’t be able to resign him.
Ronald has made it pretty clear he wants to stay with the Braves. Yeah, the team ain’t the type to pay the kind of prices her could demand on the open market, but I really don’t see this as the start of some sort of falling out.
Lots of things can be true, but there are also unknowns. Yes, the Braves don’t spend on free agents like the Dodgers. Yes, based on the types of contracts other players are receiving, Ronald could get something enormous and price out the Braves. Baseball is a business and a reasonably fucked one, at that.
WITH ALL THAT SAID….Ronald is the face of the franchise in ways that not even Freddie could claim. Both sides will talk about a deal. Maybe the Braves extend themselves a bit more than they normally would. Maybe Ronald will heed the advice Chipper gave to Freddie that Freddie did not heed–if you draw a firm line, the team will move on.
Of course, everything is moot, because 2026 might be the last MLB season for a while. Womp, womp.

Was saying this last year before he got hurt…
I feel like this is probably nothing?
He was interviewed just a few months ago and said he wanted to be a Brave for life or whatever. Earlier today he posted working out in an entire City Connect outfit.
I’m also holding out hope that maybe there’s a language barrier situation at play.
…Or I’m in denial because he’s my favorite athlete of the last decade.
I love him, but honestly, sick of him being a drama queen. I seriously hope he stays here forever but doubt it with the way the market is trending and clearly the Braves don’t want to spend money on anything except ig parking spaces.
There’s no way you let this man walk. But get ready to put up more than twice what he gets now. We’ve been lucky af with these team friendly contracts.
Won a ship without him, let him diva on the IR somewhere else, get us prospects.
he consistently says he wants to be here lol. i dont take anything from this
Remember when yall downvoted everyone who said they should do this? Lmao clowns
Happy for the lockout. MLB can’t go with this model.
Just send everyone to the Ding bat dodgers
Ronald is gonna be a Brave for however long he is gonna be and I am gonna enjoy every second of it. Hopefully he can stay healthy for the remainder of his deal and options and earn a fat pay day.
