They have to start Soler. Teo can’t start with how bad his bat is, it’s literally a black hole. Soler put up an .850 ops just 2 years ago. I think Lowe could play a serviceable CF, they should put Adell in RF where he plays great defense, and Trout/Soler can be in LF. Teo can sub in late in the game in CF, to move Lowe to LF.
They tried running a lot in 2024. It didn’t work because they were so inefficient at stealing bases it was better to not try. You saw that correction in 2025. Now could they stand be a little less conservative on the base paths? Maybe, it really comes down to success rate.
And most of the players on the roster are not contact guys, they are power hitters with poor plate discipline. Swinging for the fences is playing their role lol. If you don’t like it, blame Perry for his roster construction. Lowe is yet another hitter with poor plate discipline so Perry is only doubling down here.
Trout has said how much he wants to return to the outfield and Soler has stated otherwise. Keep Adell in right field, Trout in center, platoon Lowe/Teodosio in left and switch Soler to DH. Teodosio can spell Trout while Trout goes back to DH on occasion.
I think it’s way too early to be guessing the OF configuration. There’s just too many bodies and questions about who can play where.
Best case scenario is Lowe proves he can play a competent CF in Spring. Rada will also be in the mix and Meckler would make a better 4th OF than Teodosio. The only way Teodosio should be starting is if nobody else steps up to claim the CF job.
One thing for sure is that Soler won’t be “benched.” I would expect to see him in the lineup 3-4x per week and pinch hitting on off days. Lowe is awful vs LHP, which makes Soler a perfect platoon partner.
Bench Soler. Bring in Arraez and use him as a dh. Bring in Suarez for 3rd base. Sign Valdez

If we didn’t have arte this would be the off-season. And try to trade for Brendan Donovan. But no they wont do this. It’ll probably be a bunch of failed dumpster dives and another mediocre year
