  1. All that the next head coach has to do is win 1 playoff game in his first 9 years and he will be deemed a hero. Never in the history of man kind has a person been presented by media as some kind of football godsend than Mike Tomlin.

  2. Cignetti is a pipe dream. I’d take him in a heartbeat, but that won’t happen. The rooney’s won’t pay him what he would need in order to even consider it

  3. Of course it would not behoove of the Steelers to hire an offensive minded head coach and LEAVE the defence to a newly hired DC.A lack of offence got us in the end.Why must the Rooneys be so backward thinking when it comes to this team.

  4. Dan Rooney proposed the Rooney Rule for the interviewing and hiring of head coaches to counter the lack of black head coaches in the NFL. While this was a noble idea and accomplishment it can also backfire if an owner is hiring a coach as a virtue signal. While a person could say owners are business people first and would never play a race card in hiring it can still influence decision making. That being said, I don't care what color the new coach is. As a die hard Steeler fan I want to have the best qualified candidate get the job, be he or even she, black, white, Asian Native American…AR II, the son of Dan, grandson of AR I has shown me an indication of being influenced by a more woke ideology when in 2018 many of the players were kneeling during the National Anthem in protest of police treatment of blacks. That changed somewhat when Alejandro Villanueva protested the protesters by not taking the field during the National Anthem. Villanueva is a former Army Ranger. AR II saw pushback from one of his players and changed his tune somewhat toward tolerating the disrespect from players whose living in America had made them millionaires. All I ask and I think all Steeler fans would agree, hire the most qualified candidate for the job. Don't go seeking social justice. Meritocracy by itself is justice enough.

  5. Yeah Chris schuler is the heavy favorite he's going to bring back the four three for the first time in nearly 5 decades and word up and that's what's up oh he's going to be very aggressive at Arthur Smith is gone we're going back down field more deep passes like you've never seen before and that changes everything what we do in the draft

  6. It's time to change with the times! We need a great OFFENSIVE MINDED HC that brings along a really good DC along with him so we can develop a playoff winning offense. OUR DEFENSE WILL WORK OUT JUST FINE WOTH A GOOD DC! FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

  7. Steelers brass has to be willing to spend money on top notch coordinators. This is where Tomlin struggled. Look at his coaching tree over 20 years. It is non-existent. They also had the smallest staff of any NFL team. I'd even argue on getting an offensive minded HC, and a proven Defensive Coordinator. Ultimately a teacher a leader with the ability to designate, but stay out of the way. Tomlin had his hands in every pie. Let's move into the 21st century on offense. Eh, Capiche 🤌?

  8. I want Scheelhaase, I know that he's an offensive guy. But it's not a coincidence that the first reports about Head Coach interviews Steelers included both him and Shula. The Steelers are tipping their intentions a bit with this. They want to modernize. They see what McVay is doing in Los Angeles and they want to replicate it. They want to innovate and modernize. That's the best direction for this team.
