  1. Too small, not enough of a step up, too old, Danault took the roster spot. We'd have to be able to give a Gallagher back to make it work, which would cost even more. Are you willing to give a Hage for Trocheck? Im not. We will need young prospect at low salary cap once Kapanen and Demidov get their contract. We are not ready for a cup push yet, 27-28 is still the target.

  2. This is so difficult to guess what's gonna happen, but here goes:

    Caufield – Suzuki – Demidov
    Slafkovsky – Kapanen – Laine
    Bolduc – Dach – Texier
    Anderson – Evans – Gallagher

    OUT: Danault, Veleno, and Blais

  3. JT Miller all the way baby!!! just kidding…. none of these returning players will help mtl hold on to that playoff spot. they will drop to 9th by mid feb. that's ok as they will continue to build

  4. Cus of how we reaquired sami blais i do believe he does not have to go through waivers to go to laval next time….no we do not need nor want a center at all especially trocheck we have Hage comming plus we already got danault for now…honestly i love texier but he is not going to be hot forever , we need a top line bulldog winger that can finish …future fit is Tij Iginla ,wont bother me a bit if guhle is traded for Tij…rental winger is Krieded….we do not want any if the names you mentioned

  5. The only one I care to have back is Evans. PLEEEEAASSEEEE forget about Dach & Laine. We know they'll only get injured again after a handful of games. It would be stupid to lose a guy to waivers just to bring them in for 2 or 3 weeks.

  6. We do not need to add anyone for the post season. we are not contenders yet (not even next season we need Fowler to have a full NHL season xp under his belt before we go all in for rentals) and we have guys coming back. I don't want to see any assets or draft picks sold for this year's post season let as many young guys get playoff XP as possible. Keep the Faith and Go Habs Go!

  7. With a three week break during the Olympics, the Habs should be a well rested team that will dominate most teams. I'm optimistic for this team. I am not in the camp that believes they need more size. They have plenty of big players. Nobody described the Blackhawks as a big bodied team when they won those 3 cups. Same for the Lightning and the Penguins. The Habs in the 70's were not overly big either but they beat everybody, handily..All these teams won because of talent and heart. I think the Habs have plenty of both and could surprise in the playoffs.

  8. Trocheck is not an upgrade. Getting bigger should be the priority! Habs are afraid of playing against bigger teams getting pushed around. That’s why Dach, Liane and others who don’t hit nearly enough is what NEEDS to happen. We’re too soft. Gallagher thank you for your services, take a seat in the box rest of the way. Absolutely useless out there.

  9. Anderson with Suz and Cole is like a wind of positive change. Anderson is a strong, quick shooter with the heart of a lion. At the same time, he can defend Cole and Suzi at any time and throw down the gloves for them.

  10. Dont need any forwards, for this season.
    Suz, Cole, Anderson
    SDK
    Dach, Laine, Texier
    Evans, Danault, Newhook

We have Bolduc, Veleno, Galagher, Blais, Beck, Hage, Monty..and we need special one for next season.

Hutson, Matheson, Nemec, Dobson, Guhle, Carrier/Xhekaj.

  11. D is the weakest link. Watch the D whenever Habs lose possession and opposition enters the D-zone. 50% chance to be scored against. They just keep backing up, giving up space and dare not challenge the attackers.

  12. You said bring in Trocheck because he will get 25-30 goals. Kap has got 16 and needs only 9 more to get 25. We dont need Trocheck, we need a bigger, tougher player.

  13. Slotting a trochek or a shenn out of stl would mean slaf can move back to top line and moving Kapanan to the wing shoots right demi shoots left they have chemistry with a solid centre

  14. Not to mention Trocheck is arguably the best face-off man the NHL. He's probably the best possible player that they could bring in that's actually a real possibility

  15. Laine situation might not be great right. Ow but I think big picture, a lot of good has come out of that trade. Love to see Laine succeed but finding him a spot is going to be challenging. 100% Veleno stays up over Blais for me.

  16. Habs are not big enough! Thats the issue I see right now. I would be more willing to get bigger bottom six players. Making the playoffs is one thing. A 7 game series is another. The top six is set and will get better year after year.

  17. Blais is going down but MAN has he impressed me. Brings an element that has the other teams D looking over their shoulder when he's on the ice and is also generating offense.

    He ain't clearing waivers
