  1. I think he really does have talent as a consultant. Just not made to be an OC, it happens

  2. NFL hiring is a real head scratcher. Watch a guy go into a top offense who just went 15-2 and then do such a bad job that he gets relieved of his responsibilities half way through the season… so you hire him onto your playoff team? Literally why?

  3. People don’t know Morton when he was with the Saints Morton gave Brees an MVP Calibur season, I believe Dan was with him that year when they both was with Sean Payton.

  4. Gruden and a bunch of other guys that know ball have hired and vouched for him in the past. So as other have pointed out maybe OC just not his place. Sometimes people have ceilings. Look at Josh McDaniels. Dude is a pretty decent OC but he wasn’t great as the head guy. It happens πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ.

  5. I have nothing against Morton. In all likelihood it would have worked out if the OL was like the 2024 version. Instead we got the 2025 version. Even Dan was calling plays sometimes like they still had a good line. It was a mess last year and firing coordinators is the first and easiest thing to do.

  6. It’s hard to get anything done as an OC when your OLine isn’t very good and you only have 1 year to do it.

I get it. McDaniel would also be a huge upgrade if we’re able to get him.

  7. Payton knows QB’s and offenses. He’s worked with Morton before. Morton seems to be best as behind the scenes but not on game day.

  8. Guy lost his job calling plays for an offense that tanked and missed the playoffs and you’re going to trust him for your playoff run? πŸ‘€

  9. Good for him! Bygones are bygones. Let’s make the right OC hire this week

    That being said, go Bills
