[Scotto] Jaren Jackson Jr. remains a player the Memphis Grizzlies want to build with, according to an ESPN report. However, that stance hasn’t stopped various teams across the league from registering interest in Jackson Jr, including the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics, league sources say.

  1. I don’t hate his game but I wouldn’t want this. We’re already pretty iffy on the boards some games and he adds nothing on that front, especially for a guy his size

  2. We need to get him if not to simply stop Detroit from acquiring him we cannot beat them in a series if they get him

  3. No thank you.

$50M for a PF that would be a 4th option on offense, struggles defending Centers, can’t rebound, and fouls like KAT isn’t ideal for this team.

  4. I hope they are out on this trade in no world is JJJ worth 52 million dollars a year

  5. I think a guy like him is what we need, you need a 5 that can shoot and not be a complete liability on defense. I’m okay with iffy rebounding since we have such good rebounding guards and Tatum anyway and a lot of the teams we play in the playoffs just don’t hit the offensive glass that hard except OKC.

But with that contract it’s basically eat the 2nd apron and be stuck with what we have or trade White next season. Not really great options either way.

  6. Idk I love him as a player and think he’d be amazing here but that contract man, if it was 10 mill cheaper I’d be more down but 50 mill over the next 4 years is rough

  7. He would be an amazing fit for us at the 4. Line ups of White/Brown/Tatum/JJJ would be the best defensive core in the league.

The problem is what he would cost to get Memphis to move on, combined with his contract.

  8. I just feel like JJJ and Edey are a great front-court pairing. Why mess that up? They are about to get guys like Scotty Pippen Jr and Ty Jerome back, I’d rather just trade Morant and be patient about adding a high end wing, if I’m the Grizz

  9. dude is incapable of rebounding (seriously, he doesnt know how to boxout), and offensive game is non-existent (he cant shoot at all).. for the price to acquire and contract to pay makes this a slam dunk hard pass

  10. JJJ is a fine player, but his lack of rebounding and salary would really limit this team. Brad’s a savvy guy, he’ll figure something out none of us saw coming.
