That first Mets series was awesome
Whole lotta Judge (obvi), Wells, Grisham and Rice in this comp, with some Jazz and Volpe in there for good measure.
Moments like these throughout the season are what makes baseball so fucking great. God I miss the summer.
That Padres game with Grisham being the pinch hitter to tie the game was amazing.
“So we’re just running back last years team” … uhh no.. But kinda… and they were perfectly fine. I always loved that squad and never understood some of the hate with the doomers.
They will watch the playoffs from home this year. Team worse than last year. Winning one of five games two years in a row in the playoffs minus key pieces doesn’t exactly excite me. Losing 4-1 is a sweep where I come from. You couldn’t win until the number 3 or 4 pitcher pitched.
This is why I don’t have a huge problem with running it back position player wise. But the lack of pitching moves confuse me
