BREAKING NEWS: Las Vegas Raiders To Interview Mike McDaniel For HC Job ESPN
The Raiders have lined up a head coaching interview with Mike McDaniel, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The former Dolphins head coach will meet with the Raiders in Miami on Monday. Widely regarded as one of the most creative offensive minds in football, McDaniel’s highlight with the Dolphins is their history 70-point outing against the Denver Broncos in 2023. However, a rough stretch over the last two years led to McDaniel getting canned by Miami. Still, McDaniel is considered a top coaching candidate for most franchises, including the Raiders.

Mike will be a perfect fit for the development of Mendoza.
But if we hire a Defensive HC, then McDaniel is the #1 option NO DOUBT
Dude is very smart and sometimes comes off a little arrogant but I’d rather have him as an OC but I’d be ok with him as coach.
He made noodle arm Tua look half decent always had a strong ground game give him Mendoza Jeanty and bowers with the other off-season moves you'll have chance every year for a potential superbowl shot! Yea he's socially awkward but so what he's as tough as a offensive of play caller as any out there!.
Its been a long time since weve interviewed this many coaches. With mendoza on the horizon and the number 1 pick i truly think we have our pick of the litter here. Whoever it is. We might actually get our first choice of coaches. No more 3rd and 4th choices like the last few years
That’s actually a smart move. McDaniel is an excellent play caller and was limited with his QB and tried to make the most of it. They finished the season pretty strong too.
great video man !
I won't mind Mike McDaniel but this Mike McDaniels you keep mentioning, idk who tf that is bro 😂
McDaniel as our OC, I love that, but not as the head coach. We need a stronger personality to hold players accountable
I think the dude is an OK coach it’s not his fault. He got stuck with shitty Tua
His team was too finesse and not known for physicality. Especially in short yardage situations, he would try and throw quick screens rather than run right at the defense.
OC yes HC no
Perfect fit as long as Mendoza is picked and the Raiders address the offensive line with free agents and draft, with a excellent defensive coordinator hire the future is getting brighter
OC yes but Head Coach no due to no progress with Tua, good take tho brother 🫡🏴☠️ #getoffmylawn
Mike McDaniel would make a great OC for us but I don't want him as our head coach.
I remember when we got Josh Mcdaniels and the dolphins got Mike Mcdaniels the same year . I was thinking damn we got the wrong Mcdaniels.
Lol how MM dresses? Bro you do realize John madden dressed in chinos and a polo while everyone wore suits right?
You know it’s weird Mike McDaniel is definitely not at the top of my list either but in my gut I weirdly have a positive feeling about him, potentially being the head coach. I wouldn’t be all that upset if he became the head coach.
🏴☠️
I was hoping for Demarco Ryans as head coach with Mike Mcdaniels as OC before the Josh McDaniel signing. I like McDaniels. I think tjat he was the head of the brain trust of the system at the 49rs
If we can find a strong defensive coordinator to pair with Daniels I’m good with it and he lets our gm cook and trust that he will surround him with the best coaching staff .
I know he may not be Brady and them's 1st or ideal choice. He is not even first on my list but yes, I would seriously consider him due what I perceive is his offensive mindset, which is exactly what is needed to bring out the best in this team. I even looked it up, we've lost to him twice (2023 & 2024). I remember having the feeling as if his teams had the ability to pull out all stops (offensively), Again just feels like he is on something different when it comes to offensive schemes (with the right players of course)….on a side note, maybe we can convice Mendoza's college coach from Indiana to join in and be the QB coach or O coordinator guaranteeing we bring out the best Offensively?
This man can't coach what has he done. He f…ked off a Bryan Flores team that was strong .
Let’s roll it out. He is lenient a bit maybe not the “leader of men” but would pair well with Mendoza. Great play caller.
I don't want a coach that wears capri pants….period. HELL NO on McDaniels.
Ben Johnson has swagger and brains. Mike has brains and the opposite of swagger.
No
I’d take McDaniel in a heartbeat as HC and definitely 💯 OC but like u I think he’d end up in Detroit or somewhere like Philly for OC before Vegas
Raider fan living in S Fla. No thanks to MM as HC
Id be happy with him
Wasted, my question is if/when we get a MIKE MCDANIEL WHO WILL BE OUR DC ? Who is he connecting too ….
Good work Wasted, I dont think we all ever really considered him as a legitimate option until the interview news.. & he did a decent job in Miami. I think its a good fit
That would be interesting if McDaniel during the Natty & paid a visit to the suite with Brady and Spytek to give a real time evaluation of Mendoza as part of his interview
I believe he was fired from Miami because Tua couldn’t figure a way to get the rock to Cheetah and Waddle.
I can get behind McDaniel "PAUSE"…..
McDaniel would be the smartest offensive coach the Raiders have ever had, would be a great hire for Mendozas development
McDaniels has a great offensive mind but the man is not a leader of men. Just going off of his press conferences before and after games he doesn't even give eye contact and constantly fumbling over his words while trying to give a basic answer. He fits better as an OC who doesn't have to run the ship
I would be ok with McDaniels. He maxed out a QB with a lot of issues, the defense is pretty good and the team got saddled with injuries. I’ll take him over some of these other candidates that have never called plays or ran the entire offense.
