  1. Maybe it’s not the dodgers, but the pirates, the A’s, the twins and etc.. if there is gonna be a cap, there has to be a floor. Or maybe the MLB needs to restructure how teams are allowed to work contracts and punishment for going over threshold.

  2. Nobody is irreplaceable, especially someone who has no power. They should have traded Nico a long time. Shaw needs to play every day. You can't count on a young guy like Shaw to be a bench guy.

  3. Everyone whines and cries about the Dodgers, but what about the shitty organizations who spend almost nothing and don’t even try to win like the Pirates and A’s. To me, if you’re not trying to win you shouldn’t own a team.

  4. We need Nico to retire a Cub. I just wish we can stop all this talk about trading him. It's just foolish. Don't
worry about Tucker would be surprised if he doesn't get injured by the All-Star break.

  5. Ok let’s talk about the world series World Series that he won let’s look at that one one help one one that he cheated in and was an active participant. That is one of the darker chapters in baseball. he’s a cheater he cheated. He knew what he was doing and and he did it anyways that’s a type of player the Cubs sign and you can’t get away from that. That is a fat. He’s a hell of a good baseball player. I’m not denying that at all, but he’s a cheater and if the commissioner and baseball had any real integrity, they would’ve vacated the World Series from that year and they were suspended the players on the team that were involved in it for two years and barred them from playing at any post season games for five years that’s how serious is cheating was brought somebody to the Cubs organization who has very questionable character, and I am not denying his baseball skills a message is being sent too often and in society, and in this country, you can cheat and nothing will happen to you. There’s no consequences you can do whatever you want the end fully justifies to means. so the Cubs picked up a player a good baseball player, but he also picked up a player who acts character and personal integrity. and nobody else is talking about this not you Nick. I’m not going to ignore it. I’m gonna state as a fact. he said he was sorry for what he did I wonder is he really sorry for what he did or is he sorry because of the fact that they were caught trust has added a drop at a time solely and in one moment when it’s broken, the container is emptied and trust is regained again by a drop at a time

  6. 100M Floor and 400M Cap and any Team that goes over the 400M loses 1st rd pick and cannot sign any FAs the next Season and any Team that goes below the 100M loses its 1st and 2nd Round draft picks , No deferred money on contracts , International Players 17 and older enter the regular Draft and all draft picks like every other sport are tradeable, and the Qualifying Offer goes away on FAs , I think this kind of CBA is the sweet spot .

  7. Players make outrageous amounts of money while putting up numbers that would be considered average to pretty good back in the day. They make more money while doing less and THAT is why players don’t take games seriously anymore in any sport. Salary cap every league!

  8. They have to ban deferred salary. That's the biggest issue. Then if a super rich team wants to invest that money, fine, but its really going to restrict other moves they can make.

  9. If they trade Nico, kiss the division goodbye. I agree with a cap and a floor, the luxury tax should be doubled or tripled to keep two or three teams from signing all the top players. If there’s no competition, baseball will die. Sports as a whole is becoming elitist entertainment, the average fan can’t afford to go to games. I used to go to ten or twelve games a year, now I go to two or three.

  10. Since we traded Owen we should make a splash by bringing Cody Bellinger back. Then we would have a lineup that could beat LA in a 5 or 7 game series!🐻⬇️🐻⬇️

  11. Pretty soon there will be a cap in MLB.. cubs should extend Nico. Because hoyer has built cubs on defense. Cubs should bring back Bellinger on a 1 year deal because Cubs need more power..

  12. How about baseball putting a cap on the price of hot dogs, beer, etc. The Dodgers can't make more money from vending then say Pittsburgh unless you get more fans in the stands. Just a thought.

  13. Mick – all in favor of a salary cap, but if it existed, the owners would keep the extra money. It would NOT be passed back to the fans, who actually PAY ALL THESE BILLS! I don't think we need fan representation in MLB – it would never happen. We need real fan leverage. Again, we pay it all. There would be no MLB, no salary contracts, no stadiums, no anything without the 9-5 sweat of our backs. We've been suckers too long. How about a voice, and a large vote in the action?
