If Hughes is a better player than Dahlin is, it’s marginal. He also would not be a Sabre right now, for sure. He bailed on Vancouver and they were comparatively far more successful.

Getting Dahlin from that group of players is a win since only 3 of them are star players. Svechnikov is the median here but imagine getting the other 3. Yikes.
And I’d still take Dahlin #1 over crybaby Quinn Hughes, he would have been another crying Eichel and found his way out of Buff
Come on Paul, Dahlin was talked about as the best defenseman in 50 years. He’s great. I have no regrets.

Dahlin was a good pick, the head scratchers come at number 3, 5 and 6. KK, Hayton and Zadina before Hughes???
