I don’t even know what to say anymore

  1. Well notice that we are still forcing green to play 3. Why? Kuz and Giannis are great together. AJ is a natural 2. Rollins is an off-ball distributing combo guard. That lineup works.

Kpj is a ball dominant pg. he really is a good, high IQ player and a great distributor but he looks lost in long stretches with Giannis as to what his role is. Let him lead his own unit, and we will do better!

  2. Posted the other day that this should be the starting 5

Kpj leading the second unit off the bench plays into his strengths. I’d still give him his28-30 mpg

  3. Yes. This needs to be the starting five. KPJ needs to be the microwave bench scorer

  4. This has been my favorite lineup this year, too. I guess the eye test matches the numbers. Kuz has been oddly solid in a lot of lineups.

  5. Secondary fan/ Knicks fan chiming in.

KPG should be coming off the bench, for one thing. Dude doesn’t look that great with Giannis or alongside Rollins, like I’d hoped. I don’t know if there’s an issue with Portis as the true ‘6th man’ or something, but I’d think this would be your ideal setup, cause the stats for the lineup in the graphic tells a big story.

I also think Trent Jr’s playoff performance last year must be getting him a longer leash or something, because every time I’ve seen you all he doesn’t look great. I don’t know if that means more Coffey, Anthony, Harris or what…

And on that note – what is going on with Sears? I watched like 3 games of the guy and thought he looked serviceable. Is he just atrocious on defense? I’d think his shooting would at least be helpful in that sense, and maybe you could hide him with some of the larger lineups.

Oh and Jericho Sims for life! Love that dude. Wish he was getting more minutes, too *edit: and I kinda wish my Knicks still had him right now, too. But glad he’s on your team if anyone

  6. 99% of NBA Fan’s (Including non Buck’s fans) knew the Bucks best starting 5 at end of last season were Giannis, KPJ, AJG, GTJ and Bobby. Doc River’s didn’t trot out the proper starting lineup until game 5.

If anyone points this factoid out to Doc he still won’t run this lineup until the day before the trade deadline when Kuze and Bobby are both gone. I can’t take this anymore. It’s driving me nuts.

  7. This is why I think advanced stats are bullshit that only offer insight into one dimension of basketball. But it can’t actually capture the nuance and human unpredictability of basketball.

  8. The difference in ratings with Giannis on and off the court is absurd, close to 20 points per 100 possessions
