  5. Wardy i'd love for the Mets to get Skubal, but i feel they may not want to give up prosoects for him when they can get him as a free agent after this upcoming season. Maybe the Mets surprise us and get him, but if i were wagering, id bet they don't land him this year.

  8. I think Bellinger has already taken the short term deal with opt outs TWICE, and he's not going to want to do that again – he wants long term stability at this point, and I can't blame him. The only way the Mets land Bellinger is if they go out of their comfort zone and offer at least 5-6 years – which I don't believe they will. I think he's way more likely to land with the Phillies or Blue Jays – if not, the Yankees.

  9. Hopefully detriot sees the writing on the wall and trades skubal if he wont resign, the dodgers are heavy favs to win it all next year its a wash year for almost all other teams

  10. You're anxious to get rid of Baty and Vientos, but who do you slot at 3B when Bichette opts out after year one? Don't like that deal. We give up $45mm + 2nd & 5th draft pick + $1mm intl bonus pool $ for a one year rental.

  13. Really excited about Bichette but my excitement got tempered when I realized this is likely a 1 year deal. Why pay him $5 million to opt out after the first year??? This is a guy to build the team around! I hate Stearns

  19. Belli is projected to decline next year. He wants length alongside an absurd AAV. I don’t see Stearns doing it. He’s a perfect fit based on what we need, but I don’t see it happening.

  25. Everyone keeps saying no way Boras will allow extension talks and I would agree 9 times out of 10 but with the uncertainty of the new CBA, I would imagine he would be open to it a bit more than he would be.
    If a salary cap is implemented (doubtful), there is no way Skubal is getting the money he wants
