Paul has some thoughts the future of a sport that is at a crossroads financially. I appreciate his idea of borrowing the NBA's plan of making roster construction restrictions instead of just monetary penalties for teams that exceed certain thresholds- it has long felt incorrect to simply fine massively wealthy entities as punishment and while it can be effective, nerfing their ability to field a team the same feels much more of a balance for having a huge warchest.

  1. He also makes the great point that current revenue sharing isn’t sufficient. Any sort of salary restriction isn’t really going to work without more comprehensive sharing by the owners.

  2. Can someone explain roughly how much the Brewers receive in revenue sharing each year? I’ve seen conflicting reports.

  3. The Brewers owner is worth at least 3 Billon. Stop whining about what other teams do, and ask him why he is not spending more money to put a better team on the field.
