If we can’t land MPJ, Wiggins as the third option could be solid.

I miss wiggs 🥲🥲

I like kuminga/buddy for klay/gafford
Definitely agreed. I’ve personally wanted him back since the offseason. Efficient three level scorer with a reliable 3, athletic and in his physical prime, excellent POA defender, consistent, minimal injury history and knows the dubs system.
Bro, you’re like the only one pushing this narrative of bringing back Wiggins
Does not move the needle quite enough

Living in the past. I’d rather Herro from the Heat.
what makes you think pat riley would send wiggs back for what we would offer? The heat are passively looking to move off herro for a better prospect guard or get rid of bam for a desperate small ball team like us because he still isnt working next to kelel ware
🙄
Would you want him if he didn’t play on the warriors previously?
This is x-posted from r/funny, FWIW
Love the guy and all, but I can’t deal with yet another season of unmotivated wiggs. We had 3 seasons of that shit, enough is enough.
I’d take Wiggs back. Would definitely be providing more than what we’re getting from JK right now. People seem to think JK is valuable as a trade chip. Only to bad teams with nothing to lose that can afford to take a flyer on him to see if he improves with a change of scenery. The price to get MPJ will likely involve JK, a rotation player we like, and 1-2 firsts. Denver traded him a season ago because his contract wasn’t worth his value to the team as the third best offensive player (maybe 4th best). So while I’d like MPJ if the price was right, I don’t think we’d have to give up nearly as much to get Wiggs.
He’s decent/good at everything but great at nothing, and doesn’t fix any of our problems imo. Also before getting traded he seemed very unmotivated.
Would Kuminga + Hield for Wiggins get it done? The salaries work
Nah
I love wigs but he’s not the answer and I don’t think he wants to move him and his family across the country… again.
Why would the Heat do this?
Straight up Wiggs for JK, sure. Or happy to throw in a second rounder. Because he helps us more than JK, even as passive as he can be. He would only need to be the 3rd or 4th (if Melton continues to play like he has) option.
The problem when he was here was his absences and we needed him to be a second option after Klay and Poole left because there was no one else to fill that spot. Now we have Jimmy. . .and Melton.
He’s just not passionate about BB – he has other life priorities. But for $25M salary slot, he’s a good sized wing, strong enough to guard any other wing, and a real 3&D player. Not top tier 3&D, but he won’t get hunted when on D and he can hit 36-37% or more on 3’s – probably higher on uncontested 3’s.
We just have to face the facts that short of Giannis, the front office is unlikely to want to throw in more than a single first round pick. And what can we get for a salary swap + single first rounder or multiple seconds? Not a clear difference maker for a single first.
I would love MPJ or Trey Murphy III, but we’re not getting them for a single first rounder. And I actually don’t mind someone like Zach LaVine for the offense he could provide and he seemed to be a team player on the Olympic team, but his salary is just too high. Derozan too old. Monk another guard.
So for what the front office seems willing to give up, and given the low valuation of Kuminga, I would accept Wiggins back for sure. He may or may not start (he probably doesn’t care), he may or may not close, but we know what he is and isn’t.
And if you get Jimmy on him, and we actually have something to play for when the playoffs come, I believe he’d be a little more invested and would be a very fine 3rd option. He just needs to be pumped up. Yeah, sure, for his salary and as a professional, he shouldn’t need to be to lock in and play his best.
But if he had a Kobe or Jimmy mentality with his athleticism and size, he’d be a far better player and wouldn’t be available for JK and whatever misc lower value assets we’d need to close the deal.
On Miami, with Bam not truly being a natural offensive player and Herro being what he is, the Heat really need Wiggins to be more than he is there. Heat Culture itself couldn’t turn him into ‘22 Wiggins and I would guess their front office and fan base is as frustrated as we often were with him. With Kuminga being an unknown upside entity and Miami showing they can develop lower upside guys like Vincent, Highsmith, Robinson, etc into contributing players, it wouldn’t surprise me if they’d rather take their chances with a 23yr old JK who was never a good fit with the team that drafted him.
If he sucks, they can trade him on or cut him loose since he comes with a team option. I think next year is Wigg’s last year under contract too, so he’s an expiring after next year and can leave if he wants to. Getting JK with a team option, given what Miami needs and seemingly going nowhere, it’s not a terrible risk to take.
Has he regressed at all? Does he still have the bunnies and speed?
The Heat are over .500 in a wide open eat. Why would they trade Wiggins for future picks (and JK obviously, but he probably doesn’t help the heat win any games)
Just doesn’t do enough for us honestly. Offense doesn’t really improve. Defense gets a bit bigger but not really more physical
It’s not a matter if we can or can’t. It’s if we’re willing to give up our three first round picks, however, I think Wiggins is a good option
Can’t do that with Moody, Podz, JK.. I’m sorry. Moody just don’t pass much at all. Podz takes way too much time to analyze the court before passing. JK doesn’t have awareness.

BRING BACK WIGGS!!!! #MAPLEJORDAN #AIRCANADA
I would want him to comeback not gonna’ lie.
Wiggins comparison stat:
2021-2022: 17.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.2apg, 1spg, 0.7bpg on 46/39/63 shooting splits.
2025-2026: 15.8ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.8apg, 1.1spg, 1.1bpg on 46/40/77 shooting splits.
Andrew Wiggins — Advanced Defensive Metrics (2026 Season)
Sample size: 37 games | Filtered player pool: 422
Perimeter Isolation Defense: 1.64
95.0 percentile — Rank: 22
Wiggins grades out as an elite wing defender by advanced metrics. He’s in the ~95th percentile in perimeter isolation defense and matchup difficulty, meaning he consistently guards top scorers and holds them below efficiency.
He’s also top-10% in off-ball chaser defense and screen navigation, so he’s not just standing there — he fights through actions and stays attached.
This isn’t highlight defense (steals/blocks), it’s “don’t let the offense function smoothly” defense. He’s basically a high-end POA/wing stopper who does the dirty work and lets the scheme breathe.
But you can still see the difference in stats in his 2022 season vs 2026 when he started being a good defender, he’s basically a better defender now than in 2022 and shooting 40% from 3 than in 2022.
Obviously, in comparison to what we want: Trey or MPJ, both are better. But if Warriors don’t want to send them picks or give up Moody, I would understand if Warriors try to pursue Wiggins.
One outlier year. No thank you.
Having anyone that takes our 4th largest salary slot and actually plays will be a big difference maker
Steph + Wings = Rings
yeah helps us with rebounding and points in paint which we are bottom in league, if we can unlock his 2022 version again.
Bring Wiggs home
But can he be on the same team as Jimmy?
I just can’t believe people want Wiggins back. We traded him for obvious reasons. Him coming back wouldn’t do a damn thing anyways.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again Wiggins is a DOG. im a Jayhawk for life so I’m obviously biased but, Wiggins has always been underrated in my opinion.
Hes not a leader, he doesn’t want to be the teams best player, and he doesn’t want to be vocal. That’s okay with me.
If hes your second best player you got a good team, if hes your 3rd best youre probably fighting for a chip.
Y’all need to move on from Wiggs. He does not want to come back to the Warriors.
I think Wiggins is a good move. He’s shooting 40% from three this season. Still a good defender and okay rebounder. He’s averaging like 16 ppg as the 4th option in Miami, he could average his usual 17 ppg here. And most importantly, he knows our system. He also isn’t on a stupidly big contract and probably wouldn’t cost an exorbitant price.
I think this sub needs to prepare for the fact that as long as Giannis is a small possibility, they aren’t going to push in assets. I don’t think it’s necessarily smart but the allure of Giannis is gonna ruin real impact trades.
He wants to return.
FO has reservations. MDJ doesn’t particularly side with Wiggs to put it nicely.
(Giving you info.)
Trading back for wiggins would be the second worst decision of the regime. The first being letting GP2 walk in free agency, then trading your number 2 overall picked player the next year for ….
……..GP2 at his new contract that you didn’t want to pay
Does Wiggins have beef with JB from the old days?
THey need a useable player in Kuminga’s salary slot. You cannot have $23mil riding the bench.
