7. Brock Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant in the draft, so I wouldn’t brag on anyone being his QB coach at Iowa State.

13. The HC job in the NFL is overwhelming to most guys. Look at all the terrific coordinators who bomb as HCs. This is why there is such a coaching carousel in the league. Not everybody can handle being the CEO. Two advantages for whoever comes on board: Spytek is going to be a real asset and not a headache for the new HC, and two, Mark Davis will let him do his thing. No owner meddling. This will give our guy freedom to kick start his time in Vegas. Next, we have to have a complete team, and we're not as far away as some people think. Add last year's rookies to the free agents and draft picks this year and if they are smart, the powers that be can come out of the gate running next season.

14. I want to address a point somebody made on another board against Mendoza. They pointed out howe the last several Super Bowls were won by QBs not taken #1 overall. Fair enough, but how many QBs taken after R1 flamed out or turned out to be career clipboard holders on the sideline? I think you have to strike while the fire is hot. Mendoza is a very promising talent and can very well turn out to be one of the best QBs in the last 5 years or so. His Indiana team gives you an idea or how well he can play if he has a god team around him. Spytek and the new HC damm well better see to that.

18. Yeah that great he puts in long hours. But to make him a Head Coach? …. I coached youth Football and drew up plays, constantly teaching them, changing terminology, then watching practice and game film till 10-11 at night. For the love of the game and that is what it takes to become a winner. But biting off the job of getting Millionaires to bust their asses is a different level. But the past 25 years has been chaos so Mark will continue to make poor hires. This guy will need to hire a staff that wants to work under him. Good Luck with that.

19. Thank you again, Soto – your dives into these “would be’s” cannot wait to see who TommyTek decides is able best to guide this team forward. I am hoping (at 63) we are able to have the confidence to hire a young man, maybe less experienced, but is able to communicate a real plausible growth plan. I hope its Webb – just have this feeling…

20. I would feel more comfortable having a HC with experience. I wouldn’t mind Sheelhauus as an OC but now that Stefanski is off the table to the Falcons as a HC I’m not sure? Webb has to be considered as an OC as well but that’s just my opinion. Maybe Kubiak who calls his own plays as HC? I know that these HC positions are starting to get away from us so they better hurry the hell up and make a decision because who knows who Spytek liked best?? Maybe it was Stefanski? They need to shit or get off the pot or we could be losing out while they ask for interviews from the entire NFL coaching tree. While they’re trying to not make a bad decision and playing the patient card they could end up having to settle just to get a HC because their patience cost them. I mean what are they asking for 15 interviews??? I think that’s overkill and really not necessary to keep waiting. If they like who they have interviewed best then pull the trigger!

21. Shula may be a great OC but is he a leader of men? We need an alpha male to run this team. And a bunch of tbese guys just seem to timid and fragile like McDaniel for instance.

32. If hired…the young one…it'll be his network….does he know a up and coming oc…that they work together….Sean mcvay…grooms coaches……probably has groomed an oc….allow him to grab a defense dc….also….im sure he's in a network
