JJJ hasn't been as good of a defender since the year he won dpoy. He is a good floor spacer tho.
yup on oscar. regarding whether or no if you pick up a basketball late, some are natural, especially with someone like wemby to guide you along…
Hakeem Olajuwon (inducted 2008): Didn't start until age 15 (some sources say 17) in Nigeria, after focusing on soccer/handball. He became one of the greatest centers ever, with 2 championships, 12 All-Star nods, and elite footwork.
Dennis Rodman (inducted 2011): Began at age 20–21 after growing tall and working odd jobs (including as a janitor). He turned into a rebounding/defense legend, winning 5 rings and earning Hall status despite late entry.
David Robinson (inducted 2009): Started seriously around age 14–15 (later than many elites), though he had some early exposure. He excelled at Navy, became "The Admiral," won 2 titles, MVP, and is a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
🇧🇷 Where’s the Portuguese audio? 😢😢😢
Bronny Wembanyama
Trade:
Nets get Sochan
Spurs get Zaire Williams and a future second
Trade:
Bucks get Olynyk and 3 seconds
Spurs get Portis
I'd rather have Portis
bulky doesn't equal rebounds. look at what champagne and keldon have done. i'd rather have one of them in to rebound than olynik who's much bulkier. i won't hold my breath for jackson jr, but just saying, rebounding has more to do with determination and positioning than bulkiness.
JJJ doesn’t rebound well.
Yes on JJJ depending on what they have to send out. Him and Wemby would make each other even better on defense, as they can be much more aggressive, knowing they have help. Same goes for the perimeter guys. When Wemby is in the game, they can push up on opponents' guards because they're not worried about getting blown by. Not only can the Spurs always have either Wemby or JJJ on the court, but they would often have TWO excellent rim protectors on the floor. Offensively, it never hurts having two stretch bigs on the court either. They can run high/low post action, or have one guy or even both at the top of the key or out on the wings to keep it wiiiiide open for Fox/Harper/Castle. But, if getting JJJ means giving up Harper or Castle, I'd say no. If it involves Fox, I have mixed feelings. I LOVE Fox, but the age timeline is not quite right, and I think Fox's next contract will be harder to keep on the books compared to JJJ's next contract.
Yes to trading for JJJ! His defense and floor spacing would be a difference-maker for our Spurs team. Plus, he is only 26 y/o, he will be perfect at the 4 alongside Wemby at Center. If not JJJ then we should go for Trey Murphy III or Lauri Markkanen, as long as it won't cost us Castle.
No on JJJ.
#GSG
I like Jaron Jackson, but he doesn’t rebound well and he doesn’t really play make very well from that power forward spot. I would rather go for a legit small forward who is versatile rather than a guy like JJJ
All your posts are “wild”!
I doubt Jeremy will ever be the kind of physical presence you want, because he is too caught up in hand fighting and jawing with the opponents.
We should be trying to ship the ATL picks back to ATL for Jalen Johnson, he’s not a great defender, but he is a versatile small/power forward combo. He rebounds extremely well, and he would be insane as a playmaker to Wemby on the free-throw line area.
👎 JJ 👎
Y
He is top of my list. I think he would fit well and complement Wemby. But I don’t want to give up any of our young core.
The Spurs would want MPJ from the Nets. Sochan, Barnes, Olynyk, a Spurs 1st, and some 2nds for MPJ ($38M this year and $41M the next then a UFA).
The timing works out well to keep him and make two good runs until it’s time to pay to retain our guys.
Yes to JJJ BUT ON HARRISON, KELLY AND PICKS
And just like the bucks and Giannis grab any Wembanyama. Keep brothers together
Jalen Duren for me.
I prefer Klay Thompson than JJJ
N – No JJJ
spurs need to trade the liability players like castle and Barnes and Julian asap!! castle is overrated that guy can't help himself to not turnover the ball. Barnes and Julian are garbage. the spurs front office has hardons for undrafted trash 🗑. no title for us aslong as we have them on team ! and vassell still needs to come back and be inconsistent like every year and blame it on the injury! and majority of spurs fans are going to defend that shit
So like the bucks did with giannis right?
This channel loves to undervalue Jeremy. That said, I would like to know on what basis? He is not being played. In order for you to crap on somebody there has to be a body of evidence, something that you can point to and say: "look there he is not a good player". The last outing he had where he played meaningful minutes (not garbage time), he was 100% from beyond the three-point stripe and had, per Mitch, a winning impact on the game. Since then there have been numerous games where he has not played meaningful minutes. I have my suspicions as to why, nevertheless, you can't say that he is not a good player if you don't have anything to point to that lens credence to your argument. You can only judge a player's trajectory based upon recent activity i.e. the last couple of games where he had meaningful game time minutes. It was obvious to everybody watching, that he was definitely on an upward trajectory and yet, apropos of nothing, he started getting DNPs again. Your analysis is flawed my friend. If you want your subscription numbers to go up, DO BETTER! 😡
I'm italian and i have to say it
European basketball is better than college basketball for young players in order to prepare for the nba.
Playing against pros is much more challenging than the college.
Stats in pro leagues in europe are more impressive than college ones and so i really like what victor's brother is doing
I don't know if the spurs should take him, but it's still very good
I agree…dont worry about big name players too much its too restrictive. Bobby P for me.
I brought this up a week ago on locked on Spurs someone stole my idea😏Jaren Jackson would be perfect next to Wemby!
2nd round draft pick for oscar would be a still
Most of the "trade talk" is just media and YouTubers desperate for content. Spurs are second in the West with a 3-1 record against the number one in the NBA record team, that is definite solid contender territory and at worst you want to roll into the playoffs and see what weaknesses get exposed in the playoffs and work on them during the summer trading, unless you win the title.
If the Spurs could get JJJ or Lauri or Aaron Gordon in some miracle way not requiring the loss of key young guys, great, but that seems super unachievable.
Oscar Wemby I would definitely try to add to the Spurs. Okay he is 6'8" at 18, but Victor has added some inches after age 18, so maybe he winds up two or three inches taller. We also see that while Victor was a very skinny guy when drafted, he has added a solid 25-30lbs of muscle now, and a similar trajectory for Oscar could make him a very good power forward. With the steals, if he can add some inches and muscle he could get blocks too and be very strong on the defensive end at least.
