If they’re not going to have a panel grade them all, it’s useless to have Dallas at a B+ and the Wild at an A.
Pretty fair, I think the only moves I’d make are:
Flyers from B+ to C+
Islanders from B+ to A
Panthers from B to C
As much as it pains me to say this… having Dallas at a B+ makes this ranking look illegitimate. I think we could be an A- and Dallas should be an A/A- fringe

I’d say A+ up until January. Since the beginning of January I’d give them a C. We’re still top of the league though and we played A+ for way more of the season than we’ve been playing like C.. so I think maybe a B+ would be more appropriate at this moment
We just got blowed out by a D and a F.
I think if you look at the team when the season started and how they turned it around and had been in the top 3 for a long stretch, yes, it makes sense. But recency bias says that we have been atrocious in our last 6 or so games
Even considering the slump January has been, we are still 3rd in the entire league right now, I dont think anybody expected that from us when a lot of people thought we’d be a Wild Card team . I think an A is reasonable for a grade tbh
This scoring makes a lot of sense if you think of it like this;
A- Greatly exceeds expectations
B- Exceeds expectations
C- Meets expectations
D- Fails to meet expectations
F- Greatly fails to meet expectations
Vegas at a 6 game winning streak that far down? I mean I hate them just as much as anybody… but
So what would make everyone happy to give them an A? Tied for 2nd points in the league? 2 players in the top 5 of goals? Blockbuster trade for top dman in the league? Said defenseman top 5 for pts. 2 goalies in the top 5 for shutouts? Johansson playing great with a minimal cap hit? Tarasenko starting to come around? While also dealing with a TON of injuries?
Sure the last week or so has been a little rough, but teams go through ups and downs. Zoom out a bit, every single person would have taken where the Wild are at the start of the season. I wouldn’t be surprised if BG adds an impact forward before were done. And yes the playoffs will be the true measuring stick, but let’s give them credit for what has been done so far. More to do, yes some stuff to clean up, but a lot of teams would trade situations with the Wild right now.
I have kids with A’s a semester fail by the end of the year all the time.
Not saying we’re gonna flop; I’m just not filling out their diplomas until they finish out the year.
Give the Sabres an A they don’t have anything else
