*It’s hard to figure out exactly the amount of cap space the Wild will have at the March 6 deadline, because they have a half dozen players on the current roster who are Iowa call-ups eating into their cap accrual. If they make a big trade before the Olympic trade freeze (Feb. 4 from 2 p.m. CT to Feb. 22 at 10:59 p.m. CT), there theoretically could be no space. If they don’t make a big trade before the Olympics, depending on health, the Wild could have between $7 million and $10 million to add a player or players.*
Players discussed: Trocheck, Panarin, Miller, Thomas, O'Reilly, Crosby, Malkin, Kadri, Schenn, and Stamkos. There's a blurb at the end that tacks on Tuch, Kotkaniemi, and Sherwood as well.
Potentially going the other way? Stramel, Benak, Wallstedt, Yurov, Haight, Heidt, Lambos, Jiricek, Spacek, and the 2027 1st round pick. some are obviously more likely than others.
