2. DAY 428 (1031/531) on THE ROAD TO THE 2026 6TH WBSC-MLB WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC – The Beginning of the Baseball Year

   Dearest fans! Happy Opening Day of the 2026 North American Baseball Year!

   Today, as the players of the California Winter League officially report to their teams, as the countdown begins for the official launch of the 167th season of collegiate baseball this Thursday, as Savannah’s iconic Grayson Stadium, nearing its 100th anniversary, is welcoming both players and visitors starting today for the winter training sessions leading up to the Banana Ball Championship League next month, and as Cooperstown is anticipating the announcements regarding the formal induction of this year’s new members into the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum this week, we now begin 11 long months of action across all leagues in the USA and Canada, featuring the best players everywhere, young and old alike.

   Today marks the formal commencement of 11 months of baseball activities across this great continent, featuring the very best our sport has produced in recent memory, the sport’s first women’s pro leaguers in decades, our future generations, draft prospects, and the players of the sport’s 2 of what are now 4 entertainment organizations, the Banana Ball and Cosmic Baseball Leagues, together with the national associations of the USA and Cananda who are preparing for the many WBSC regional and international events scheduled for this year, inclusive of the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

   Beginning today, the sport in North America is coming alive again with game days and related events all across this continent, all designed to motivate, entertain and inspire the fans with the power and fame that this sport has and will continue to show to the world after all these years. Let this brand new baseball year be a year of celebrations, achievements and new moments that will live on for years to come.
