I’m glad we got Mateo, I really wanted him as our final depth piece before the HSK news. I still could see a trade happen for either a Nico Hoerner or a Brendan Donovan. Both the cubs and STL need pitching in their systems so I could see this being a fit.
I was worried that we would go after IKF. Mateo is a solid guy to back up Dubón
Is he missing 4 months of the season or 4 months starting now?
This is going to be a repeat of 2025.
