Just got back from a trip to São Paulo, Brazil, and picked up a São Paulo Giants ball cap.

The São Paulo Giants were founded in 1946 by Japanese-Brazilian immigrants. São Paulo is actually home to the largest Japanese community outside of Japan. The SP Giants are not a professional team, the club is mostly made up of Japanese-Brazilians and has stayed alive through youth development, local competitions, and national tournaments.

I thought it was pretty cool to see a dedicated baseball community keeping the Giants name alive in a country dominated by soccer.
