I don't think this could've gone much better when I think about it more. Fuck the money, the fallout from it is nuts lol.

Our biggest challenge for NL contention in the Phillies end up with peanuts compared to Bichette. Realmuto regressed hard and I don't know if they panicked or not, but it looks like a panic move lol.

The Cubs probably got better overall assuming Bregman is healthy too, but it's good to know we took one of their best players.

The Mets got better either way, but Bichette is a worse player and wonky fit in a crowded infield compared to Tucker.

Blue Jays are the biggest losers, if you're optimistic I think you could say they were early WS favorites with Tucker. They probably were pivoting to re-sign Bichette, but the Mets moved so quick… The AL seems pretty open again.

Nothing will work out as good or bad as it looks on paper, but on paper we sorta fucked everyone here.

All of the articles about Toronto signing Bichette were wild to me. He’s been a fantastic clubhouse guy and player for them all these years, and people assume he’s willing to patiently wait around to see if he can be their sloppy seconds?

They scorned him the moment they decided they might sign him if they fail to land Tucker. They gambled and lost.

  2. Tbf, all teams involved overpaid for the players they got, even the Dodgers. Only team that didn’t overpay was the Jays because they weren’t able to sign anybody.

  3. Friedman is just conducting a perfect symphony these days. Would love to see a doc about his days and just see how he works.

  4. Anyone can manage the Dodgers with no finacial boundaries….
“What will is take for you to sign with us?”
    “**Unrealistic offer**”
    “Done”

  5. The Blue Jays have had a great off-season even with missing out on Tucker. Wtf are you talking about?

  6. I’m not worried about Cease but Okamoto is definitely a player to watch out. He’s a very good addition the Jays. I wish he went to the White Sox with Murakami.
