6. Twinsfest is just a large tax write off for the Pohlads. They got rid of the card show after 35y years and anything else that didn’t pay them a lot of money to advertise.

   edit to add – IF this is actually writing on the wall, I’m sorry but I won’t miss him. Not for him being unlikeable or a bad person or whatever, but he is one of the most forgettable bat first players the Twins have employed for 5+ years in as long as I can remember. His career OPS+ is almost exactly league average at 101. His best season (116) is practically the same as Wallner’s worst season (110). He is not a good fielder, not a good runner, and not a good enough platoon player to offset everything else. Now that we have some OF prospects ready for the show, it’s time to move on. I’ll wish him well, but the fact that he’s still here is nothing more of a sign of the larger roster freeze that we’ve had for 3 years now
