All us 12s going to be missing Paul Allen this weekend when it comes to raise the flag.

Not only did he save the team from moving to LA, he shepherded the team into the 21st century.

But aside from football, Allen is one of the few billionaires I have ever respected. The work that he funded with the Allen institute is having a tremendous influence on neurosciences. And his environmental efforts have lasting impact.

He would have loved this team. They are what makes football exciting.

So thank you Paul. My his memory be a blessing.

  1. Had to google “Was Paul Allen Jewish?” After reading this. Thought he was one of us.

Edit: Not sure why I am getting downvoted and being sent Reddit help messages? “May his memory be a blessing” is a Jewish saying. Made me think he might have been Jewish….

  2. Loved Mr Allen what a great Washingtonian. We miss Sir you were the best owner.

  3. Say what you will about the deal, but south lake union is massively contributing to the local economy because of him.

  4. Voters and public funding saved the Seahawks. This guy used both to get even RICHER after already being one of the richest humans in history. I love my ‘hawks but let’s not rewrite history.

  5. Chris Pratt is a great ambassador for the Seahawks so if they ever need a promoter, they already have one

  6. Paul Allen was the opposite of Jerry Jones or Al Davis in terms of micro management. He hired great people and trusted them .

He’s also the opposite of most of Mariners ownership, he prioritized wins over profits

  7. Shout out to Jodi for building a superbowl contender too. Y’all shit on her hard. Give it up.

It may be a good time for a Paul Allen statue. His legacy needs to be honored and preserved
