I can tell you right now, the Steelers really like Chris Shula. I don’t think that that’s any sort of song and dance. I think it’s a real intention to go through a real process, but it doesn’t mean (Shula is) getting hired. Because (the Steelers are) gonna go through the full process.

  17. Talk is cheap! Charisma is bullshit, men follow leaders of substance not cheerleaders. Mike was respected because he truly cared about the players worked tirelessly and helped them personally not because he had a presence. The presence comes from deep knowledge of the game and the respect of the people in the room because they know he has their back through thick and thin. Not because they have a moving pregame speech

  25. Capital F for McDermott.. unless we hire a coach that can change our offensive mindset by him doing it or us getting a great coordinator with them then we need not hire them..

  30. Shula I had going to the dolphins, but they hired Hafley, now the raiders seem like a strong possibility to me for Shula. But Shula doesn't seem too interested in being a head coach because he has turned down some interviews why????

  34. I’m not to worried about if the HC is an OC or DC as long as he is a good leader and will balance the Offense and Defense cap and player wize. Keep both sides of the ball competitive and get an OC and DC that are good.

  39. Why is he getting the blame this season when Josh threw all the interceptions in the playoff game and then a crazy interception cost them that game? I get that he is the HC, but dang it’s a tough gig when you aren’t the cause and you lose your job. Other big game they lost was the crazy KC game that got away. Just like I gave Tomlin some breaks when some of those playoffs some top players weren’t even out there together. Tomlin was loyal to a fault with coaches and that also cost him.

  41. F. That's the worst take on McDermott I've heard. Like Tomlin, he has a franchise quarterback evening his prime in a bad division, of course his win percentage should be high.

  42. If Mike McCarthy or Brian Flores get hired as hc: what are we doing? Why do we want failed head coaches to replace tomlin?? I like Flores all right, but getting him as dc. I'd rather bring a new guy in. To get rid of tomlin and bring in McCarthy would be so dumb.
