His hot 3 PT shooting was hiding the issue with Bam. His inside scoring is ass.
Remove his 3PT hot scoring and Bam is consistently sub 50% from the field. Remove his 3PT attempts and he hovers around the 1-5 made FGs on 10+ attempts. So his max from midrange/paint is a whopping 50%.
We know Bam is who he is. But man, watching this version of Bam who can’t go for a drive to save his life is so frustrating.
He has the luck and talent to be one of the toughest guys to defend and his strongest enemy is his mental that nerfs him to the ground. He won’t use his strength against guards, he won’t use his speed and agility against bigs.
Dude’s soft. And having the occasional stretch of good games doesn’t change that.
And no, I’m done with the « DPOY » level defense exhausts him to the point he can’t do more on offense.

Just blow this thing up and trade Bam and Herro. This is not the good ol’ days where superstars want to come here. This version of the organization is about the grind. It’s like post Duncan Spurs where a HOF head coach and strong organization don’t have the franchise altering talent but are too good to be a truly bad lottery team. Pat is old and doesn’t want to die with the organization in rebuild and Spo is too good a coach.
Can’t wait for spo to not criticize bam for missing a lot of shots and instead continue his weird obsession with ware
