1. Curry and Luka are starting every single all star game until they retire or leave California lol. SGA and Jokic will also literally never not start for the rest of their careers. And then it’s Wemby.

   Ant is kinda fucked unless they change how the voting works even though he’s arguably the 3rd best player in the west.

3. Dumb ass popularity contest worst thing the league ever did was have it affect how players get paid. Otherwise it’s completely irrelevant to me.

7. Here’s what people need to appreciate about the all-star voting. Ant is never going to be voted in over Lebron, Steph, Luka, Wemby, Jokic, or Shai in that order in the West.

   Why? Because those players are more globally popular than Ant by orders of magnitude. When you have a popularity contest by vote total, it doesn’t matter if one player is better than another, fair or not.

   Lebron and Steph are *literally* two of the most popular athletes in the world, and that will remain true until they both retire. When they retire, Ant will be third fiddle to Luka and Shai every time unless he can get more global brand recognition as far guards are concerned.

    This isn’t just because Texas is bigger and France.

    Arguably, Ant is much more marketable than Shai yet SGA also was in the top 5 of fan voting while Ant barely can get in top 7.

    That’s with a great commercial, a great shoe, a movie, and all the dunks over the past years .

    This shit matters, and it’s a bit disappointing that the org + agents didn’t figure out how to get it done

14. I would care but I don’t even watch the ASGs and I know Ant probably care doesn’t considering he decided not to even play last year

He will struggle to get the votes because of the fan voting part.  Basically any podcast or piece of media you listen to where they know anything about basketball will probably have him ranked like top 5.  That’s the way things go with fan voting, same thing as the dumb shit with the pro bowl in the NFL.
