  9. Saleh isn't the one who got embarrassed. His defense kept a 28.4 point average offense to 13 points, with rookies. Shanahan is the one who got schooled. A 25.7 point offense that only scored 3 points. Seahawks defense allows an average of 17. Which means the 49ers offense wasn't even average.

    You could talk about injuries and Trent and Ricky being out, but Shanahan is the one who wanted Ricky and the one who believes you don't have to invest highly in the offensive line.

  11. you can say "if if if" all you want and say 49ers can win if they do this and force seattle to do this. but at the end of the day you cant just think of a solution, you have to actually enact it. Seattles players are better on both sides of ball, rested and just as hungry to win as sf. just bc you think of a solution to what went wrong doesnt mean its gonna suddenly work and make it a close game. PLEASE go in single high and see what happens, when shaheed burns you over the top if you shade jsns side. Watch the seahawks passing attack this year before teams started exlusively running 2 high and tell me how the 49ers have the personnel or passrush to stop it.

  14. Everybody talking about Trent Williams not playing last time. Wasn't Seattle's LT missing that game too? Didn't hear any excuses from the Seahawks. Only giving up the one sack.

  19. Having Trent back on O-line, and Warner back on D will be a huge difference. Trent will allow Purdy a little more time in the pocket to get something going. It's going to be a lot of CMC, but the rest of the looks are going to be by committee like it has been all season. Jauan Jennings for sure is going to see more targets if Pearsall is out. Jusczyzk gonna see pivotal short passes on the progression with Kittle out. Tonges will be solid.

    It's funny how if the Niners hold SEA to 13, their defense is 3rd and 4th string trash… when they hold Eagles to 19, they're still just lucky to be where they are… if you don't understand the impact of Trent William being out, and that is THE ONLY WAY Purdy doesn't put 2 passes into the endzone at least… had CMC not bumbled that last pass into the arms of SEA, it would've been 13-10, not 13-3… that's a lot closer than SEA fans or Niner haters or doubters are willing to admit. Purdy didn't throw that INT, CMC just let it bobble and it cost them. That was the #1 seed on the line… now, it's the season on the line. 49ers weren't willing to risk losing critical guys (Trent) for the #1 seed. They knew Warner was coming back healthy, and if they could get Trent back in too, they knew they'd have their best chance in playoffs as healthy as they can possibly be, despite Kittle's injury.

    So, anyone thinking this will be like Week 18 is in for a rude awakening.

  21. As a 49er fan with some years on him, I'm hopeful. I think Shanahan purposely played it conservative last time knowing he would meet them again, and is setting a trap. We'll see, though.

  26. Jake Tonges, Juanne Jennings, Demarcus Robinson, Juice, McCaffrey… where they gonna go? It’s really all on Shanahan. Saleh’s defense may not have played great defense on paper, but that redzone defense was great!!!! He held them to 13 points in both games yielding 0 passing touchdowns between both games.

  47. The same two teams played two weeks ago, and they didn't magically transform. If they played in two more weeks the seahawks would beat the brakes off them again.because theyre better.
