  1. Jim Bowden reports Bellinger reviewing multiple offers and will make a decision shortly. I wonder if the Jays even made an offer. It would be a sneaky move to steal him from the Yankees.

  2. Donovan does not really move the needle and not a huge upgrade over the existing Jays players to warrant trading their prospects. They would rather wait until the trade deadline to make a move like this.

  3. We want Suarez wout alot of. Market. Pumping no hidden moves… should be released just be. Q quiet ssh

    Donovan
    Skubal. Coulombe

    Suarez

Bellinger is overated weak that's why NY. DOESNT REALLY WANT HIM. .. OLD MAN

Scoops have to not be really leased until 13 days from now or I won't give you any more

Inside scoops.. 13 days for you to question mark. sssssssh. Up. Up..

  4. This is a "buy high" deal that only makes sense if the goal is to make Clement a super sub AND the prospect(s) being given up aren't the guys projected to be very good to awesome big leaguers. It's not necessarily a BAD deal, but it really depends on who moves back the other way and who comes off the 26-man to make room for him.

This team is at a point right now where any trades have to on at least some level be "old fashioned baseball" trades. Someone on the big league roster has to go the other way to make room for Player X. I don't see who moves the other way for Donovan that is worthwhile.

  5. I think a huge aspect of Popkins’ team batting strategy is that when average, or slightly average hitters buy in to that system, they can contribute by making contact and I think most players will show improvement in this system. Ernie and Addison are great examples. Even Jimenez, who is not great at the plate, made a solid contribution. A guy like Donovan who is already solid, will get better on this team.

  6. Can we please not hear the name Kyle Tucker again? It didn’t happen he’s not coming here. It’s over, let’s move on from that please. I’m just so sick of hearing everything about Kyle Tucker.

  7. Like Daulton Varsho, how long before Brendan Donovan adjusts to AL pitching in AL ballparks? I like Brendan Donovan but this looks like another potential trade where the Blue Jays are buying at a player’s highest value.

  8. I have been posting on these videos about Donovan hes the perfect fit for the jays. he doesnt have alot of power but he fits right in to what they should have instead of Santander. High average, low K rate, hes perfect for what they need at 2B. Not as good as Marte but if DBacks are not trading him Donovan isPERFECT , with the amount of money Donovan would make you could Also go out and trade for or sign another bullpen arm with the money you would have spent on tucker or Bellinger. So you could have 2 really good pievces rather then 1 maybe good Bellinger. It makes alot of sense.

  9. I don't really see Donovan as a great addition to our team, when we can get close to the same production from Clement, Nathan Lukes or Joey Loperfido. I do see him as a depth piece, but at the price. It may be a luxury when a more urgent need is a solid closer. Ernie Clement is our starting second baseman (or should be). As you recently noted, Clement sees himself as a super utility player, so I have no doubt he'd be OK with having Donovan on the team. I do see the advantage of having a second baseman who will produce more offensively against righties, but at the same time, I see Donovan taking away a lot of playing time from Lukes, Loperfido, and Schneider. If it's the first of two or three trades the Jays are lining up to get a top closer, I'm all for it. Also, I don't think I'm on board with trading away Johnny King (who is a lefty). If we could get him in exchange for Jake Bloss and R.J. Schreck, I'd be OK with that.
