  1. More slug, better base running instincts, he plays for his own stats first, team first. More HR’s. Drop in the order.

  2. Arraez consistently gets on base with singles and doubles. His ability to sprinkle shots into awkward places on the field is his biggest strength next to his bate discipline. Would be stoked to have Arraez back

  3. 🤞🤞🤞we need Arreaz!!!! Dude lacks power but gets on base and doesn’t strike out much.

  4. If he wasn’t batting second, I’d really love for him to come back. Hopefully Craig isn’t calling shildt for lineup advice

  5. I’m coming around to the idea of resigning Arraez. Sure his defense is questionable and is OBP leaves a lot to be desired. But a repeat of his 2023 season with the Padres would be incredible. Dude hit .354 with .469 slugging% all while finishing eigth in MVP voting. Arraez hasn’t reached such heights in the past two years but he’s relatively young. His best years could be ahead of him.

  6. Have a few questions about Stammen now. Maybe we did not watch the same 100+ games last season.

  7. I’ve got faith in Preller. If there’s something better out there he will take that. (like a Nick Pivetta deal was last year)

If not then maybe a couple more years with Arraez is our best bet with the budget he’s working with.

I hope he keeps looking for those deals no one else sees.

  8. I like Arraez for the vibes, and he is an elite contact hitter when healthy. But if he’s gonna come back, I’d like to see it be on a team friendly deal, and not hitting in the 1 or 2 hole.

I think he’d be FANTASTIC in the 9 spot setting the table for Fernando, though.

  9. Give him the old Profar deal and bat him 9th. Unless he returns to his pre-Padres form.

  10. He needs better plate discipline. If he can commit to that, be open to making some changes (maybe stop insisting on waiting to hit with 2 strikes for one) and come off the bench I’d be okay with a short, team friendly deal. Our other needs would have to be filled first. He should get some consideration AFTER we sign or trade for some slug and another starter. He’s not a necessity by any means. Don’t give up a roster space to him if we can’t spare it.
