Seems so far away, but it’s really not.
Still not sure why so many people give a shit about Mookie saying he’s going to retire at 40 years old.
Probably the weirdest thing to make headlines this off-season.
Good to have an exit strategy or timeline. Even Ohtani had that rough schedule of how he wanted his life to go and wrote he wants to leave the game before his skills deteriorates badly.
Mookie will retire with 8 World Series titles!

I hate the off season.
As someone whose been on the receiving end of a two weeks notice that I would’ve much rather had been a three-plus months notice given the complexities, intricacies and somewhat black-boxy-ness of the duties I would be taking over for, I can never fault someone for announcing their exit too early. Granted, I don’t think taking over shortstop is probably as complex a task, but I’ll stand on principle here
