It’s ok that guy tackles a lot!
Hope this keeps JPJ hungry.
Everytime its a falcon the rules change! LMAO. Getting a lot of tackles on a bad team that gets ran on a lot is apparently more impressive than sacks.
Schwesinger finished the 2025 season with a team-high 146 tackles and added 2.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, nine quarterback hits, two interceptions and three passes defensed.
Not saying JPJ is not worthy… but I’m not mad this dude definitely deserved it.
Well, every major outlet had him as the odds on favorite to win, so I’m going to guess he was pretty good.
Eh, JPJ had a great year but so did a ton of other rookies. Let’s just hope he keeps growing and stays healthy, I’m hoping we have a TJ Watt type on our hand.
He was not snubbed 💀💀im sorry but this was the right decision. Jpj is a dawg and im happy to have him, he was clear cut second place imo but this was the right decision
Schwesinger is obviously a valid pick
It’s way harder to win against a guy who is in on every play seemingly. A great linebacker is tough to beat as a rookie with how constantly they’re involved on defence.
Never heard of this man in my life. Was he on a good team?
Edit: /s
I am as big of a JPJ truther as you are going to find, but Carson deserved it
In 5 years we will see how this selection ages.
NFL needs an NFC and AFC Rookie of the years Awards.
It really helps to watch other teams than just the Falcons. Not just for mental health, for perspective also.
There’s much more to playing DE than sack numbers
Should have won on his beautiful hair alone.
Tbh I’m still leaning towards JPJ winning it, not by much but he played not that many snaps compared to others in the top 10 & for a rook to disrupt the LoS this early not only effects the game more but can also lead to others making plays (INTs). Not to knock Carson but he played of course a hell of a lot snaps more & also has a lot more assisted tackles than others in the top 10 in tackles this season & a lower end of solo tackles. I am definitely impressed with his tackle for loss & INT stats though.
Unfortunately JPJ is not winning Rookie of the Year because if he did the football writers who blasted the Falcons for making the deal to get JPJ would have to admit they were wrong, and we know that’s not going to happen.
That kid for Cleveland can ball out no doubt.
JPJ is great. He should go for DPOY in future seasons!

Meh. I’d rather him get the DPOY instead.
