  1. Next time the packers need a guy to play a single snap, they should call me. I’ll do it for a beer and a hotdog instead of 400k.

  2. Any chance they sign him back for a cheaper deal? Maybe like a one year prove it deal or something.

  3. Before everyone freaks out. This was always going to happen because his current deal would pay him $15 mill next year and there was never a snowballs chance in hell that was gonna happen

  4. Assume they saw enough in practice to know he was cooked. Worth a shot but oh well.

  5. This was expected. We weren’t going to pay him 15 million for next year but we kicked the tires on him and have first dibs on his services for next year

  6. For anyone that is worried this saves 15 million and doesn’t mean we don’t bring him back on a new deal. I think you take him and do what we did least to show him how it is like here. Largely because Green Bay has never been a great Free Agent landing spot.

  7. Tell Micah to keep letting him stay on his couch, we might still need him in the future

  8. Next will be Jenkins and Gary. I know it’s a business, but I feel a bit for Jenkins – kinda got screwed over on the forced move to center, breaks his leg, and then gets cut. Gary, on the other hand, played like ass after Parsons arrived (which makes no sense whatsoever – should have been a boon for him).

  9. Considering how thin GB is at CB, I’m going to assume they wanted him to restructure for significantly less and he said no so they said go test the market

  10. This was always going to happen he had no guarantees left in his deal so he could be cut anytime and the packers were never going to pay him $20M a year when he’s been hurt for most of the last 2 years. Diggs will go to free agency and will get a 1 year prove it deal. Depending on what he gets offered and if the packers can offer something similar determines if he’s back or not.

  11. And just like that we have positive cap space

After Jenkins and Gary, we’ll have about 20 mil to work with. Add in Jacobs (which some are speculating and I disagree with), that’ll go to 29 mil

  12. I can no longer say that 3 of the top 12 active cap hits for 2026 are CB when replying to anyone saying we haven’t invested enough in CB

  13. Great move! When are we going to get a Rich and McManus extension announcement? I’ve been waiting all week for it, they’ve both been here for years and deserve to be rewarded for their service.

  14. I guess it was worth the risk to see if he had anything. Got 30 some snaps out of him week 18 at least.

  15. It’s funny reading the comments on X about this as if it wasn’t going to happen LOL he was always going to get released. They might try to bring him back on a cheaper contract
