[Cowley] The Sun-Times confirmed a report that the Bulls have had ongoing talks with the Pelicans about players such as forward Zion Williamson and center Yves Missi. While the chatter around Williamson has quieted on the Pelicans’ end, there has been momentum around Missi.

  1. wouldn’t mind at all if we can get zion without giving giddey and buzelis plus no picks

  2. There has been reports of this the past weeks.

I would be happy if we land him. But knowing Joe Cowley. He just recycle news. And get his pay check. IDK how this guy is still getting paid.

  3. If we get Zion all its going to do is further delay our inevitable rebuild. Youre trading for a 40+ million dollar salary player who cant shoot, cant guard, cant rebound, cant stay healthy, and has reportedly had discipline issues. I understand his ability as an inside scorer but you cannot ignore the major risks of everything else that comes with him.

And then you have to ask yourself – does this move make the Bulls a contender? No. So what is this all for?

  4. Also this:

    >The Sun-Times reported last month that the teams talked about a deal for White, but the Timberwolves also have inquired about Ayo Dosunmu and Tre Jones, too.

I think that was the Coby for Donte+TSJ hmm.. Wonder what Tre would fetch

  5. Yves Missi would be a really good young center to pick up. Especially since you can likely get him cheap. Zion would be…confusing. Either you are certain he can stay fit and healthy or you’re hoping to just use him as a bad contract to get picks back. I don’t have any faith in the team keeping him healthy but if he can stay on the court he’d be a monster next to Giddey and Matas.

  6. I don’t see what the Bulls would offer for Missi besides taking bad salary

Something like Missi + Poole/Murray for Vuc + Dalen’s expiring contracts works

I’m not a fan but it feels like an AK type deal

  7. I’ll take Missi , not a bad young rim protector whose athletic. Plus pick and roll game with Giddey as a lob threat

  8. Trading for Zion would at the very least peak my interest until he gains 40 lbs when he discovers the magic of Chicago food

  9. Btw in the same report, Wolves inquired about Tre Jones? I wonder how legit this is. Since it is Cowley spewing.

  10. Giving up picks for Zion would be such a mistake. He’ll play like 30 percent of the games. His ability to stay on the floor will only get worse as he ages.

  11. If you have to give up anything more than a second for Zion I’d say no, but if it’s just matching salary then that’s an easy yes imo. Especially if it means we can get off of Pat or more likely other expiring

  12. Might as well take swings if the only other option 8
Is 38 wins and the 9 seed. This team has no top end talent so as long as they aren’t giving up a ton of unprotected picks who cares. Team has no future as is anyway

  13. AKME love underachievers and are more concerned with staying under the salary cap than winning.

  14. Who we are fooling but ourselves with these headlines? Just trade for Morant. He will fill the seats and will be entertaining. Just what the reinsdorf want.

  15. we really turned down a top 5 pick from this team so we can draft essengue lmfao. missing out on Dybantsa for french patrick williams
