1. If I was the Leafs GM, I would trade away every single player in the Leafs system that is 29 years or over for as much back in prospects and picks as possible. Replace the missing pieces with weak UFAs on cheap 1 or 2 year contracts and do a complete rebuild.

2. According to James Mirtle, based on what he's heard around the league, he suspects Dougie Hamilton is going to end up elsewhere not the leafs.

16. For Hamilton, I'm still concerned 1) his annual salary of 9 mil, is disturbing, and the bonus money is too high to even look at attaining him. Justin Falk, Colton Payrako, Luke Schenn, and Damon Severson should be considered.

22. Why would you trade a very good depth Defenseman that can fight check and is dirt cheap. No way that makes sense.

23. I agree with a lot of the comments here. There are so many good underappreciated dman in the legue that would instantly make an impact on this team. Why are we looking to handcuff ourselves with a toxic soft player that will handcuff us. I bet the leafs could sign someone undrafted from the olympics that could make an impact give how this team has played.
